Why Sally.....are we afraid to click my book???"
It looks like Deliverance with nukes! :o

Thanks for the offer Jammies, but I have a credit with Kindle, so will use that. :)

Correction: I remember seeing somewhere that it was picture heavy, and I could be totally wrong. The way I worded the sentence above makes it kinda sound like I've read it, which I haven't.

Could I change my mind Jammies? I'll pm you my address.

Yes, that book itself is a vindication of paper reading materials. Except for the power point chapter.

I'm reading The Jennifer Morgue and really enjoying it.
Hi Ficus! *passes a pitcher of MiracleGroTinis*

I've been eying that ESPN book, Petra. How is it?
I don't know which to read next: Can't Buy Me Love or a biography of Janis Joplin.
Did anyone hear that Cobain's hometown is considering renaming a bridge after him?

difficult to do or accomplish; fatiguing; troublesome: a hard task.

Well, I am a sports/memoir/economics geek and I think any job at ESPN wouId be awesome, so even though it is not quite what I expected, I am really enjoying it. I have listened to 6cd's of 24 so about 1/4 into it. So far, I have learned about the germination of the idea of ESPN, how it was financed, who the corporate players were, and what the operations were like in the beginning. Sprinkled in between the business stuff are stories about the San Francisco earthquake in 1989 and how ESPN was the only functioning media presence at Candlestick Park. Stories about the coverage of the 1983 America's Cup, when Australia beat the US. Also, it has touched on the struggles of women like Gayle Gardner and Robin Roberts breaking into a testosterone filled sports broadcasting world. If you like this kind of stuff, you will like it, RA.

I have the same problem lately! I think my issue is that my house is a disaster and it's distracting me, but I can't seem to get motivated enough to do anything about it. Is there anything around that keeps distracting you?

That happened to me last year. It lasted a looooong time. I felt like I was in mourning. I felt like throwing a party when I finally got over it. Hopefully you will snap out of it quick, fast and in a hurry.

Just don't let this be another reason to backslide!! You're doing so great!

Thankfully, no, reading is one of the few things I can do that completely distracts me from wanting to smoke, even when I was smoking regularly.
