Dennis McClure | 7 comments I wasn’t entirely sure there were any non fiction readers left. But if you are out there, A Different Race by Christine and Dennis McClure is out there and available on Amazon and all the usual outfits.

Trust me, the experience of the segregated black regiment that built the Alaska Highway’s northern end—in Alaska—is a page turner.

M.W. Ansari | 3 comments Is Atheism Rational? Can Science Prove existence of God?

Foreword:
Read with an open mind. For a glass that is full cannot receive
any more water. This small booklet is quick to read and is for
those who are in search of the truth.

Can Order Arise From Chaos?
Does Randomness exist?

When you see the universe do you see order or chaos? The laws of
physics, the constant acceleration of gravity, the exact speed of light, the
time it takes for the earth to rotate around the sun or on its own axis, etc.
Everything points towards order, all planets, moons, stars, galaxies spinning
in perfect unison. If the earth tilts a few degrees or moves a few miles away
or towards the sun, everything on earth will change, life as we know it might
not exist. This careful fine-tuning points towards order.

Can this arise from the chaos of a big bang? The big bang caused all the
particles to expand and collide and created the perfect conditions for life to
exist on this planet over billions of years. Was this a blind process or was this
being guided by an all-knowing external force. If you think this was a blind
process leading to creation of earth, water, life and humans with
consciousness, then consider the example below.

Legos example:

If you take a few hundred pieces of different shaped Legos,
place them in a plastic bag and shake them vigorously over a period of many
days, will they magically arrange themselves into a Lego robot? A Lego robot
that can think, ponder and has consciousness? Is this even possible?
If not then saying that man with all his intellect and intricate complicated
body comes into being with a blind process of big bang with billions of
molecules banging against each other over a long period of time is absurd.
Even a single cell cannot come into being with a blind process, let alone a
conscious being like man. Every cell has a nucleus, DNA, ribosomes,
mitochondria etc, complex systems that require design.

Some people will say that universe and the earth and everything within
it was all due to a random chance. What they are in fact saying is, this all
happened by accident. Let us examine Randomness.

Randomness does not exist:

I start with this because I want this to be clear
and concise. Randomness is something that people say when they cannot
explain a phenomenon. (when they do not have all the information or
variables)

The Billiards Table thought experiment:

The famous French physicist named Pierre-Simon Laplace had this philosophy.
If we know all the variables, then by looking at the past we can predict the future.
Imagine one is playing pool and breaks the table with a shot, one does not know
for sure where all the balls will land and they might say its random. Let’s imagine
there was a divine calculator that can take into effect all the variables, exact
force, friction, angles, air density etc, and give us exactly where all the balls
will fall, then randomness disappears.

Coin flipping Robots:

We have created robots who can predict with 100%
accuracy every time whether the coin is going to be heads or tails as they
flip the coin. These robots calculate based on all the forces applied and are
right every time. This shows again that randomness does not exist, but in
fact it is only our ignorance that we ascribe to randomness. Some would say
we have a pixel and the creator or God must have the picture as God has all
the information.

This is the introduction to my book. It is a very short read (less than an hour) and is written in a very engaging format. There are simple examples and full references at the end. If this intrigues you, please check out my book on Amazon available both in print and on kindle.

Douglas Moonstone | 2 comments Mysteries revealed

If you are interested in the mysteries of the Earth and of our origins, here are the mysteries revealed in my book :

EARTH IS THE AIM

Author : Douglas Moonstone
All my books are available in paper books , paper books with color photos and digital books ( E-books ), on amazon.fr

Mysteries revealed in the volume 1, EARTH IS THE AIM 1 , Eden and China’s Gods :
The gods of the antiquity period did really exist
They came from Space and terraformed the Earth just emerging from the Würm III Ice Age
Then they colonized the Earth
The Bible and the Chinese legends describe these invasions up to the smallest technical detail

In this volume 1 , I explain why flying saucers are not fantasy and how they work
You will also discover that ancient maps are representing the Earth several thousand years ago
You will learn that the first woman is not Eve , but Lilith
Indeed , Eve is a clone of Adam ...
The flood did take place in -4900 , it is now scientifically proven
It swallowed down the Garden of Eden , in Anatolia , Northern Turkey , on the shore of the Black Sea
The Garden of Eden was the land base for the Edenists, who had then to move to their new base in the Kunlun Mountains in China
They safeguarded their Earth staff with the Noah's ark , a top of technology

Like the Bible , the Chinese legends also describe the terraforming of the Earth
These legends also tell us about their journey to Earth and the wars against the Atlanteans
The Atlanteans also participated in the terraforming of the Earth but this had negative consequences for the Edenists such as the tilting of the Earth which caused massive flooding throughout Asia due to the reversal of the courses of the rivers which instead to go East have now to go South
But it also placed the North Pole at the South Pole

The legends of Olympus tell us about the current life at the court of the gods on the Mount Kunlun
As you can understood it , for Jupiter , Zeus , the Celestial Emperor and the Son of the Heaven , we are actually talking from the same person

Next week I will reveal you the mysteries revealed in the volume 2 , EARTH IS THE AIM 2 , The Atlantean gods

Ellen Brazer (ellenbrazer) | 23 comments My name is Ellen Brazer and I am proud to invite you to enter my book 100 book giveaway on Goodreads. Here is the summary of I Am Meir's Brother I Am Meir's Brother https://www.shorturl.at/asN06

I Am Meir’s brother is a biography of the celebrated research scientist, Eliezer (Eli) Huberman, and the relationship he had with his Israeli spymaster brother, Meir (Huberman) Dagan. In order to grasp the influences that turn ordinary people into extraordinary people, the story begins with Eli and Meir’s parents. The family, including two-year-old Eli, escape from Poland and the Nazi extermination in 1941, only to find themselves entrapped in the frozen tundra of a Russian work camp. Through resilience, ingenuity and determination that would be passed down to their sons, the parents survive. Meir is born at the end of the war on the family’s way back to Poland, where they are greeted with devastation and derision. By the time they finally book passage to the newly formed State of Israel, their Zionist father has firmly instilled in the psyches of his sons a fervent commitment to a Jewish homeland. Eli excels as a gifted and exceptional student. He serves in the IDF, participates in the various wars, receives a master’s degree in microbiology and a PhD, and draws international attention for his published papers on cancer research. Upon meeting Lily Ginzburg, a life-long love affair begins. A child prodigy pianist from Lithuania and the descendant of survivors, the book examines her family’s life during the war and the impact it has on her. She becomes the bedrock of Eli’s existence, birthing and raising two sons, while shielding and protecting her husband from daily distractions. Eli’s demeanor, insightfulness and genius would open doors into the rarefied corridors of the greatest research institutions in Israel, America and the world. Every day of his life is spent searching for cures, unraveling mysteries, sailing another unchartered course, each step, deliberate and insightful. There are incalculable successes and heartbreaking failures, accolades and dismissals. Through it all, he never quits and never stops believing in the unbelievable.
While Eli devotes himself to science, his younger brother, Meir Huberman Dagan, dedicates his life to the State of Israel. A zealot like his father, Meir rises through the ranks of the Israel Defense Forces, eventually becoming a Major General. He is appointed Director of the Mossad, the National Intelligence Agency in Israel. A hero known as the King of Shadows, Meir is disappointed when his brother leaves Israel for America. Knowing he is unable to protect Eli and his family from the possibility of a retaliatory assassination attempt, Meir resolves to keep their familial relationship a secret. As proud as he was of Eli, it was not until the end of his illustrious life that Meir definitively acknowledges that he has a brother. The title of this book is Eli’s way of telling the world how honored he is to say, I Am Meir’s Brother.

This inspirational short read chronicles my random thoughts during my oldest brother's terminal cancer fight. Writing was my way of dealing with this agonizing time. It helped me release all of my negative thoughts, fears and rationalizations. I expressed my raw feelings while watching my brother's life swiftly fade away. My random thoughts, though, hold an inspirational story within this tragedy. A tragedy that millions of people have gone through and most likely felt the way that I did.

Brandi Spering (brandispering) | 7 comments Hello! My first book, This I Can Tell You, is open for preorders with indie publisher, Perennial Press (Perennial-press.com)!

a little more about the book:

"This I Can Tell You" walks in through the front door and looks under the sofa. It measures the length of the wall, taps to find the beams. It removes the hammer and the nails from the toolbox, places them in a line to find the difference. "This" is a poetic narrative that examines structures within a home. It navigates Spering’s muffled timeline due to the fragility of memory as a result of trauma and the secrecy maintained within a family, like a well-groomed dog."
--
“Riveting and haunting, This I Can Tell You chronicles an intimate recollection of familial history, and a reconstruction of self in the aftermath of homicide. Part elegy, part memoir, part true-crime story, this book surges from a house of mystery.”

Denis Roubien | 3 comments Hi everyone!
You can get my travel book on Paris "Paris disclosed" here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084JLRSL8
(I would be glad to receive reviews for it)
The originality of this book lies in the fact that it presents to you all the main cultural sights of Paris with a focus on Le Marais, the most historical and best preserved neighbourhood in the French capital, that escaped the city's transformation in the 19th century.
This is done in the belief that this approach will help you understand better this multi-layered and therefore complex -and, for this reason, fascinating- city.
This book, based mainly on a large number of photos and maps, accompanied by concise historical and architectural explanations, reveals to you the treasures of Paris, including the less known ones.
Along with all the well-known sights of Paris, from Notre Dame to the Eiffel tower, you will discover:
-interesting but not always sufficiently known museums
-luxurious mansions, with sumptuous courtyard façades and lovely gardens hidden behind high walls
-medieval houses with a wooden framework and Gothic basements
-medieval castles, including the castle of 'the Primate of France'.

Isha Barlas | 2 comments Hi everyone!

New to using Goodreads and trying to get a hang of it - I published my first book last year March and would love more people to read it, and share their thoughts with reviews - I’m a new and young author, so would immensely appreciate the support.

Here’s a link - https://ishabarlas.ampbk.com/

And this is a synopsis of my book:

This is a collection of poems which has been written in the state of severe depression, uncontrollable anxiety, never-ending self-doubt and an ocean of insecurities.

People shouldn’t feel ashamed, disregarded or belittled for suffering from mental health conditions. Suffering from a mental health condition shouldn’t be seen as being any different to suffering from a physical illness.

These poems should spark a serious conversation about mental health in our societies, and also give hope to those who are suffering that they are not alone and that they shouldn’t have to suffer in silence/shame.

There will be many people who can relate to the poems written and hopefully by sharing individual experiences, we can address and fight the various stigmas surrounding mental health.

I've published three nonfiction books and had a great time doing so. Unfortunately they never got the marketing they deserved because the timing wasn't right. Either I was running for congress or we were in a pandemic, etc. Still, it was worth it.

John Anakwenze | 103 comments Hi everyone!!
My debut inspirational nonfiction narrative titled The Bee Chase is basically a coming -of -age story. It is a tale of poverty, diligence and survival. A tragic bee chase from where the title of the novel was derived might evoke emotion. The book has ample illustrations that seamlessly work together with the storyline. It has good reviews on Amazon website and written in easy flowing english prose.

Matt Jardine (mattjardineauthor) | 1 comments How to be a Buddhist Millionaire 9 Practical Lessons to Being Happy in a Materialist World by Matt Jardine

Hi everyone. Thanks for the opportunity
to share my book with you. Hope you enjoy it.

Here's the blurb from the back cover;

'Take a leaf out of Matt's book free yourself of the fear of money and start living the life you want.' Moatez Jomni, British Paralympian

Matt Jardine, martial arts teacher and entrepreneur, has spent 20 years seeking the answer to one of life's ultimate conundrums: how can we lead an authentic, spiritual and creative life in a relentlessly money-centric world?

In this insightful book, he brings together Buddhist teachings, spiritual lessons and the advice and experience of a variety of experts and professionals from a Paralympic athlete, to a West End musical star, to a city banker and presents nine practical lessons to help us all discover our passion and make it pay.

With a light touch, he dispels the deep-rooted fears and limiting beliefs that hold us back, and forces us to question the very foundations of our lives and what really matters.

How to be a Buddhist Millionaire teaches us that money doesn't have to be a dirty word, and that if you search for happiness rather than the pot of gold, success is more likely to follow.

This is my first attempt at writing for people other than my family and friends. :) With that being said I hope you enjoy this little tale of a church, a woman, a man and a scandal: Fried Chicken & Gossip: At Gia's church the best thing that goes with fried chicken is gossip!

Sandra RDMS | 5 comments Hi, Authors and Bookworms!

I'm Sandra Minck, RDMS and a sonographer of 29 years and Health Writer. I've taken the last few years to write my first book, Ultrasound Unwrapped: A Week-by-Week Pregnancy Image Guide.

It compliments other pregnancy guides on the market today by giving expectant parents a gallery of more than 150 images explaining ultrasound and what they can expect to see on the monitor each week of the 1st Trimester along with a tutorial on how we pick apart gender differences in the 2nd and 3rd Trimesters. We also follow the pregnancy of Dianne—a former nurse and coworker with her first pregnancy. From the very beginning, you learn what you can and should expect to see on ultrasound—your baby's weekly growth and how we measure and date your pregnancy.

I've started out with a handful of really great reviews on Amazon, and I'd love to know if anyone here is interested in reviewing. If you're a parent, parent-to-be, sonographer or OB provider, or reviewer of pregnancy-related, medical/allied health nonfiction, please contact me!
