I can't wait 'til the publishing world catches-up to the Kindle revolution and starts allowing full color illustrations in fantasy books for all ages, especially YA. (Right now 120 color pages printed through Createspace can't be made for less than about $20.) I'm trying to lead this, and have a YA novella up for possible free review. My Listopia list shows some of its genre influences: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...#
BIO: S.W. Wilcox, aka DJ Scott, was born and raised in California. He earned a BA in English in Pa. in 2004. An animated short version of "Bards of Fantasia" was made in 2007, for schools. As a teen, Scott also corresponded with famed fantasy pioneer Michael Moorcock. Editorial rave reviews are included at his Amazon product page from famed story analysts The Black List and Scriptapalooza.

Anyway, some of you may remember our story “A Genesis” which was first published back in February of 2016. The reprint has been doctored a little, but is much the same.
This story takes less than three minutes to read!
This story may offend those who hold strict religious beliefs. What can I say? If I was afraid of offending others I wouldn’t be a writer –- I wouldn’t be me.
Enjoy and NAMASTE

Myth - a fantasy fiction, hidden world, love story aimed at teens and young adults. Excerpts and more info at Facebook.com/mythnovel

I love to read, especially Young Adult
Have a slight (major) obsession with Harry Potter.
I'm Dutch but currently living in Swansea, Wales.
I love to travel, go..."
Hi, Mallory! I'm in the midst of writing a novella per month as part of a writing challenge. The series is called The Knight's Journal and details the twelve tasks a young man named Aidan must complete to become a knight.
What caught my attention in your post is that I've set it in post-Roman-occupied 5th century Britain. And in fact there's some locations, especially in the earlier part of the series, that happen in Wales.
If you're interested, send me an email (blang701@hotmail.com).
Thanks for your consideration!

I killed a Zombie Turkey. Now, will it stay dead?
Sam Melvin, an underachieving e-reporter from a small town, changes forever when he meets turkeys that won't stay dead. You can shoot 'em, chop 'em, burn 'em—they come back stronger. The undead plague of poultry spreads uncontrollably, rocking the whole country. As Sam tracks down the zombie turkeys and how to eradicate them, his editor, Lisa Kambacher, nags him to turn his stories and expenses in on time. During their years of working together, Lisa has mellowed from bitchy into an irascible pinchpenny.
Lisa snipes at Sam for plebeian writing but uses her intelligence to pursue the lucrative carnivorous turkey story. Sam and Lisa ricochet across the landscape, tracking turkeys and fleeing the bloodthirsty hordes. Careening from shell-shocked grocery store owners fighting turkeys crawling out of refrigerators, to machine-gunning turkey farmers, to secret militia, Sam and Lisa doggedly report. Throughout the turkey apocalypse, they dare ravaged cities, plow knee deep in gore and corpses, and upload streams of zombie turkey video news to the world.
With paranoid militias clashing with the federal gover¬¬¬nment and unkillable turkeys, Sam and Lisa doubt their ability to survive. Sam and Lisa have no superpowers. If you have a heart condition or lack humor, you should not read Zombie Turkeys, no matter how much you want to find out what happens.

Path of a Novice A land at war, a failing king, a light in the forest ...
Centuries ago, the powerful Alpine lords colonised the Great Forest. The native Silvan elves were accepting at first, but one elf’s lust for power is threatening peace and driving a wedge between the two, immortal races. Leaders against followers, commanders against warriors.
Fel’annár is an orphan with a million questions and no answers - his Silvan mother died and no one speaks of his Alpine father. With the face of an Alpine and the heart of a Silvan, the boy steps into this conflicted world with nothing in his pocket but a dream: to be a Silvan captain in an army commanded by Alpines, an army desperately struggling to hold its borders.
Fel’annár’s path as a novice warrior will teach him more than warfare. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, he must learn to deal with his personal conflicts and with an emerging power he is yet to understand.
From recruit to novice warrior and beyond, Fel’annár is the Silvan that could change the balance of power and alter his world forever.

My name is Jennifer Lorenzen, and I am the author of 'The Gifted: The four Kingdoms'.

Soon after their conversation, Lily finds herself on a journey through all four Kingdoms of the world and headed to a foreign and magical destination with the group of strangers. "The voices—they were always there. They grew stronger in his mind with each passing moon. He gently squeezed the bundle resting in his arms. The orb was still there—cool to the touch even through the cloth. His leg twitched. An involuntary spasm in response to a distant sound he thought he had heard. Was there something out there, or was it all in his head?"

I'm excited to release my first YA paranormal/fantasy, Evil Awakened, book 1 in thw Kiche Chronicles, to be released on October 21st.
After writing 6 suspense thrillers, this is my first YA fantasy and I've never been this excited for a book release. I'd be honored if you check it out. Below you'll find a brief description and endorsement as well as the necessary links. :)
From one generation to the next, legends of good and evil have been passed down around Indian campfires. With each passing generation, less is believed. To the young, they’re just stories, but to the elders, they are warnings.
In the woods, which border between the reservation and the Everglades, four teenage Cree braves recite an ancient ritual. Not understanding the words they say or the implications of their actions, they call forth a demon which had been cast into the netherworld with no chance of escape . . . unless man called it back. Free, it has one plan; build an army of beasts, and ultimately, become immortal by feeding on the spirit of the one destined to become the Kiche—the Sky Spirit Goddess.
It has been foretold that the gates of the netherworld will be opened and it will take the wiles and courage of a sixteen-year-old girl, whose skin is as white as winter’s snow, to send the demons back and save an entire nation.
Pamoon, left abandoned at birth on a Cree reservation, has been marked with a flame on both her neck and left palm. All her life, they have been a nuisance, but now they mark her destiny. With the fate of her friends’ lives on the line, will she have the courage to pick up the gauntlet and walk the path the fates chose for her before her birth? In EVIL AWAKENED, Pamoon and her wolf cub, Scout, begin a journey that may end in her demise or might possibly take her to worlds only humans can imagine. A journey to both heaven and hell. A path only the one destined to become the Kiche—the Sky Spirit Goddess—can travel. She’ll need help if she is to survive; help only the spirits can provide. Let’s pray it arrives in time.
Whatever evil man creates, only man can defeat

"The Fall of Lilith is a compelling narrative that provides background on several well-known, supernatural figures. Though obviously religious in nature, Quiroz-Vega's book strays far from traditional biblical text. Sea monsters, mermaids, and vampires share the stage with angels and demons. And illicit (and explicit) affairs, violent battles, and graphic injuries abound.
A well-written, descriptive, and dark creation story."––Kirkus Reviews
The Fall of Lilith is available in a beautiful paperback and eBook on Amazon. http://a.co/61rGKHL

Things were going pretty much “business as usual” for fifteen-year-old Pepsi Ferrell and the members of the teenage rock band “The Pop Tops,” at least as usual as being a teenage amateur rock star can be.
A strange twist of fate however, sends Harry, Phillip, Pepsi and her little brother RC, into Hades, the underworld of Greek mythology, in search of their lost dog Zeus.
A battle is taking place for the very soul of the underworld itself, as a new player enters the game, or so she thinks. Strange magic is brewing and it may be up to the four outsiders to set things right again.
The fact that their music is magical too should help, if they can just figure out how to control it.
Join us as we follow Hades, Persephone, Dionysus, Thantos, Styx, Charon, Tiresias, the Nine Muses, the three ladies of Fate, and all the rest of the divine family (that puts the “funk” in dysfunctional,) through all of Hades creation and back again. Dealing with the most notorious of the “Denizens of the Deep,” including a visit from the “All Father” himself, Zeus, and his all wet brother Poseidon…the underworld will never be the same.
*NOTE* A Cold Day In Hades is a middle school novel with four main characters in the 13-16 age group. It is a lighthearted attempt to take the dark and sometimes vague subject of Greek Mythology and lighten it up for younger audiences.
The focus of the novel is on giving a general education of Greek mythology in a funny and entertaining manner, at the same time tackling teen issues and concepts such as change, divorce, working, entrepreneurship, personal motivation, self-esteem, and diversity among others.

Book One of the “Fenton Dragon” series:
Take the sleepy little town of Fenton, West Virginia, where little has changed in the last 150 years. Add an aging over-endowed diva, fireball wielding senior citizens, an ex hippie conservative republican warlock and a somewhat misguided “epic battle” between good and evil. Sprinkle liberally (pun intended) with gnomes, zombies, vampires, gremlins, winged horses and a whole host of other strange creatures, including a super intelligent were-maraner. Shake well, (literally) and you get a recipe for fun and mayhem.

http://www.gregwagnerbooks.com/
Book two of the “Fenton Dragon” series:
People all over the “dragon-magical” town of Fenton, West Virginia are losing the ability to lie, even politicians and criminals.
This has Sheriff Bud Wilson worried. With all the unprecedented honesty and a few unexplained disappearances, he’s afraid that it’s the work of the ten-thousand-year-old dragon that’s sleeping under the town, but that might not explain all the other strange things that have been happening.
Twelve-year-old Pepsi Haverty thinks her beautiful winged stallion “Snowball” is going crazy.
Esme the lovely purebred Were-maraner is having trouble adjusting to being human, and 70 year old Clarence “Starman” Williams, ex-hippie, warlock, conservative republican, has somehow come to the realization that he just might be the “L” word.
Join us as we take another trip back to Fenton, to visit Jasper, Amos, Snake and the super-teens, Amanda, Tiffany, Justin, and Devon, and their super-magical charges.
Oh, and let’s not forget the infamous Mr. Black, who is back from the grave, and looking to wreak havoc and he’s brought along some special “colorful” friends to help this time.
The town of Fenton may never be the same…

The wolf placed one paw before the other, head down. His shoulders shifted left and right as he passed beyond the trees. Every third step, he gave a little hop, like both back legs were stepping together. Jack Coles leaned against the trunk of a black ash and watched the creature. His sense of déjà vu grew violently, morphing into an unbearable thud resonating through his brain.
Jack could feel his ears tingling. The wolf paused at the far end of the clearing that separated them and pointedly bared his teeth at Jack. Jack pressed his hand against the bark as he contemplated the sight before him.
Awash in a blanched light, lying in a jumble at the center of the clearing, were the gashed and scratched bones of an insultingly large serpent. The skull sat in the grass and seemed to dully contemplate Jack as he stepped into the light.
“Stop,” the white wolf growled as it, too, stepped into the light opposite of Jack. He stood in an un-proud sort of way, and Jack stared in shock at the space where the creature’s leg should be. As they regarded each other, Jack could hear a semi-distant bird calling out an ascending scale in minor key. What must be pollen perpetually settled from one bit of the air to another.
“There is treachery in the sunlight; look to the shadows upon which this house is built,” the wolf growled.
Jack fixed his eyes upon the black shadows created by the bones, and realized there was something moving within them.

Fantasy enthusiast who just published my first paperback and Kindle book! Would love feed back on it.
Time does not heal all wounds. Neither does revenge, but it sure as hell feels good! Or so Tangerine likes to think. Which is why she is hell-bent on finding her parents' killer. It's an already gruelling pursuit that takes a slight turn to the worse when it becomes clear who's behind their deaths. Being the illustrious assassin she is, Tangerine is not the one to cower in face of adverseties. On the contrary, she usually throws herself into them without much heed to anything. This time is no different. Or so she thinks. Her hate-feulled pursuit for revenge lurches her from her usual bad company to even worse, to the posh circles of Nobility, to murder and torture, pissing off the Emperor, and the unlikely recognition by the Queen. But worse of all: taking up work as a whore. All in the name of vengeance

A Wild and Unremarkable Thing
Fifteen years have passed since a Fire Scale scorched Cayda’s village. Fifteen years of beatings, of bare kitchen cupboards and sloppy swordplay. Fifteen years of biting her lip for her father’s cane while her younger sisters did the same for the grimy patrons of the village brothels. Fifteen years of staring steadfastly after beauty in an increasingly ugly world.
Now, with hair shorn and breast bound, Cayda marches into the Summer Alps as Cody, a hopeful Champion seeking a dragon-slayer’s reward, with the full weight of her family’s survival on her shoulders.
But the road between poverty and prosperity is rife with beasts, betrayals, and baser temptations. Sensible Cayda soon discovers that she is not the only Champion with her eye on the prize, or the only one wearing a disguise.
With monsters, gods, and royalty hot on her heels, Cayda must ask herself if victory is worth sacrificing her identity for – or her life.
A Wild and Unremarkable Thing pits girl against dragon in a stunning blend of Greek mythology and medieval lore. Readers will not quickly forget the diverse cast or the thrilling, sexy ride!

Sera was weak, and with her capture a pulse washed over the earth-gifting the millions who were chosen fractions of her power as a desperate call for help.
But with the pulse came something greater, Klaus, who leveled entire cities in search of his beloved in what became known as the Reckoning before disappearing entirely.
Fear spread in the wake of his destruction, with fear panic, and with panic, war. Soon anyone who had been touched by Sera's grace became hunted-forced to live on the fringes of a broken world.
The time has come to not just survive, but to thrive, and embrace the stigma that has become our lives.
We will fight, we will survive.
Amidst the mist, we will rise.

One day. All I ask for is one day where no one is in some sort of bullshit perilous situation. But that doesn’t look like that’s going to be happening any time soon. It was hard enough to deal with the loss of my brother, Toenail, and the betrayal of my extremely ex-fiancé, but when the Dark King has his minions try to kill Grams and poison Mom I am done playing relatively-nice guy.
With all plans for a peaceful day canceled—most likely indefinitely—our gang ventures out in search of antidote ingredients on none other than the Dark King’s island. I’m holding out hope that we will run into a few Dark Knights that I can take out my frustrations on. And no matter how much I wish I could, who can forget that I have my memories back, along with all recollection of mine and Derek’s complicated romantic past. Yay me! Here’s to hoping we all make it out of this alive.

Brittany,
I just sent you an email with my information. Thanks for this opportunity.

It's been years since the fall, since Sera was found and we realized that our stories of creation weren't stories at all. To find a god, alive, was something no one had dreamt of-but was something too many feared.
Amidst the mist, we will rise

Description:
In The Fall of Lilith, Vashti Quiroz-Vega crafts an irresistible new take on heaven and hell that boldly lays bare the passionate, conflicted natures of God’s first creations: the resplendent celestial beings known as angels.
If you think you know their story, think again.
Endowed with every gift of mind, body, and spirit, the angels reside in a paradise bounded by divine laws, chief of which are obedience to God, and celibacy. In all other things, the angels possess free will, that they may add in their own unique ways to God’s unfolding plan.
Lilith, most exquisite of angels, finds the rules arbitrary and stifling. She yearns to follow no plan but her own: a plan that leads to the throne now occupied by God himself. With clever words and forbidden caresses, Lilith sows discontent among the angels. Soon the virus of rebellion has spread to the greatest of them all: Lucifer.
Now, as angel is pitted against angel, old loyalties are betrayed and friendships broken. Lust, envy, pride, and ambition arise to shake the foundations of heaven . . . and beyond. For what begins as a war in paradise invades God’s newest creation, a planet known as Earth. It is there, in the garden called Eden, that Lilith, Lucifer, and the other rebel angels will seek a final desperate victory—or a venomous revenge.
“[A] compelling narrative that . . . strays far from traditional biblical text . . . A well-written, descriptive, and dark creation story.”—Kirkus Reviews

Book 2 in the Anna Davies Mystery Series
Three years on from Egypt, Anna Davies embarks on her first cruise with best friend Sandra. A few days into the holiday they are woken by three blasts from the ship’s foghorn, indicating that someone has fallen overboard. A woman is lost at sea; the ship turns around to search for her, but she has disappeared into the night.
Was it suicide? Did she lose her balance and fall - or was there foul play involved? Did her husband push her? Would anyone be able to prove whether this was murder or an unfortunate accident?
What a perfect place to stage a murder!

“Remember that actions have consequences, boy.”
The Calamity changed the world forever. Gods created by the six battled for control of the World. The creators decided there was enough fighting. They ended the war by exterminating the gods and their offspring. With the gods now stripped from the world, the mortal race had to fend for themselves.
Centuries later, Weaver Rizer is born in the capital city of Ellipsis. Due to his father's unexpected death. Weaver and his mother are left to run a brothel in his place. Under the same mysterious circumstances, his Mother dies some years later. On her deathbed, she gives him a creators stone. The only downside—it is now embedded into his skin.
With the new stone and his best friend’s sudden resignation, Weaver begins to lose his grasp on life. When Weaver challenges the wrong man, it causes the destruction of everything he once knew. Creating a new future with unknown possibilities of death and love. It all leads Weaver to the knowledge that he is meant to deliver the stone to another. He must travel across Ellipsis, towards a rebellion that might hold the person he searches for. All to keep a vengeful god from waking.
But with every step Weaver takes toward his task, he takes one step closer to his own death.

Magicals
Centuries ago an oath was created between a coven of magicals and a pack of werewolves. This oath created connections that would allow better protection between them. This is Arabella and Garrett’s story.
Arabella is returning to her small town after three years, not much has changed except for her. Three years ago her brother left the light magic behind and went to the dark, making an agreement to eliminate the threat of Arabella. After his attempt her mother took her and fled to Paris, leaving behind her father and Garrett, her best friend and oath bound protector. It’s been three years since that fateful night, three years of silence from Garrett and she is forced to return after a horrific event. Now she must return to her small town in Alabama and her former life.
Garrett has never forgiven himself for how he treated Arabella before she left. He had no words to make up for his behavior so he’s been silent since her departure but now she’s returning and he has to find the words. However, the minute he sees her he knows he’d give up everything to fix it, to protect her. Getting her forgiveness might be another story though.
Shortly, after Arabella’s return it becomes obvious that the dark magic and her brother are still seeking her out and her only hope could lie within Garrett and their connection.
Capture
In the highly anticipated follow up to Magicals.
Arabella wakes up in the hospital searching for the one person she needs most, Garrett. However, Garrett is gone, he was captured by Amadeus. No magic can track him because of the magic Amadeus is using to keep him hidden. However, Arabella's magic continues to grow but with that comes more danger.
However, Arabella's day to day life doesn't slow down. She soon finds an uneasy agreement with a dark magical that claims they will help her learn how to defeat dark magic but will this alliance cause trouble with Garrett, if and when he returns? Will her parents and friends approve? Probably not, the only person she can rely on is Christian, because he feels like he owes her after being used by Lydia.
However, tragedy strikes more than once and Arabella's barely hanging on by a thread. Will she be strong enough to get Garrett back? Can she defeat her brother? Does she have it in her to eliminate him, even after all the pain he's caused?
The war between the magic's has only just begun..
Ignite
The highly anticipated conclusion of the Magicals Trilogy.
The war between the magic’s is more deadly than ever but with Arabella’s memories gone will she be able to beat Amadeus once and for all?
With Arabella’s memories lost Garrett will search throughout the history of magic to find a way to help her recover them. Garrett and the rest know just how vital her memories are to her magic but when one search leads him to an ancient magical and her secret allies will things become more complicated? Or will she be the answer to all of their problems?
Arabella is more than a little lost without her memories causing her to be more vulnerable than ever. Everyone treating her like she’s made of glass isn’t helping the anger burning inside of her. Will she be able to regain her memories in time for the epic battle between her and Amadeus? Or will she be destined to lose?
Battles will be won, lives will be lost and relationships tested. Who will survive? Find out in the conclusion of the Magicals trilogy.
