The novel is a fantasy horror based on ancient history and mythology of Mesopotamia.
Here's a quick preview on the Synopsis:
The plague of 1918 A.D.
The mortal world is in a state of devastation.
A woman wakes up in an abandoned temple of Kali, the goddess of darkness, in an ancient city of Gaya.
She does not know where she is.
She does not remember the events leading to this.
She only hears a familiar voice of a tormented man who has haunted her dreams.
He tells her a story – of a time of souls and suffering, of immortality and gods, of life and death.
This, he says, is Mesopotamia.

I just finished "To Enter the Path" which is Book 1 of a trilogy called Vendrix Trilogy by Stephanie Flores. I think you would really enjoy it. It is a good story, well written, and the protagonists are special. Ms. Flores does a wonderful job painting her imaginary world with words.

Hi everyone! I'm Hailey Woerner, and I'm a fantasy novelist, and have finally completed one novel, which is now published on most ebook sites. I'm a teenage author, so I guess that's something noteworthy! :DMy book is a fantasy set in the medieval time period, and could also be classed as an action/adventure, but the main genre is fantasy.
Jade has lived in the same girl's orphanage all her life, where she's shunned by the rest of the girls, and the Mistress never seems pleased with her.
One day, after stealing food from the orphanage one too many times for a starving village, the Mistress banishes Jade from the one place she calls home.

Eugen opened a case and placed it on a bench where I could see it. It was full of syringes of varying sizes. The healers in Koraliss used syringes to treat the sick, but I had never seen such large ones. He picked one up and held it up to the light. It was full of an opaque blue liquid. It looked thick, like a gel, but when he pressed on the end of it, droplets the consistency of water spurted out the top. I squirmed, but my hands and legs were bound tightly to the table. I strained my neck, trying to keep Eugen in my eye line. He kept talking.‘What we don’t know, is why you were running. The Chamber is very keen to find you, so either you stole something from them, or you have information. I suspect the latter. What I need from you today – I think you will find it is very reasonable – is for you to tell me exactly what it is you know, and why you were running from the Chamber.
