A Carpet of Purple Flowers by Tracey-anne McCartney

Book Blurb:

‘Every unknown is a beginning’

Bea lives a simple life residing in a SW London second-hand bookshop. It had been an especially difficult year, first with Bea’s uncle dying, then splitting up with Brandon, her philandering, druggie boyfriend. The shop’s trivial daily conversations, local faces and ordinary calm was all she desired – but that was all about to change.

No-one expects to bump into supernatural beings, let alone two opposing sects of a forgotten race. Bea’s quiet existence turns into turmoil as she slowly starts to unravel a secret past, a lost history in which love, revenge, betrayal, magic, power and karma are not mere cycles of a soul, but a sacred journey upon a web of many possibilities.

The future is not set in stone, and the choices that Bea makes ripple through the cosmos. As the secret unfolds she realises that no matter what form your soul takes there are consequences for your actions in which time has no relevance – we call it karma, they call it Vororbla.

Will she cope with the heartbreak and truths revealed before her?

What would you do if your very existence came into question?

Join Bea on her journey as she uncovers the truth of her past via a carpet of purple flowers.

G.W. Lwin (greglwin) | 6 comments Hi Everyone,

My name is Greg, and I will be releasing my novel 'THE SAMSARIC' on the 14 Nov 2015 on Amazon.

The novel is a fantasy horror based on ancient history and mythology of Mesopotamia.

Here's a quick preview on the Synopsis:
The plague of 1918 A.D.
The mortal world is in a state of devastation.
A woman wakes up in an abandoned temple of Kali, the goddess of darkness, in an ancient city of Gaya.
She does not know where she is.
She does not remember the events leading to this.
She only hears a familiar voice of a tormented man who has haunted her dreams.
He tells her a story – of a time of souls and suffering, of immortality and gods, of life and death.
This, he says, is Mesopotamia.

Please message me if you are interested in a review and I will send you a pdf copy on the release date.

My website is still under development but you can find me on my facebook author profile page below;

Kind Regards,

Bonnye Reed (brf1948) | 53 comments I just finished "To Enter the Path" which is Book 1 of a trilogy called Vendrix Trilogy by Stephanie Flores. I think you would really enjoy it. It is a good story, well written, and the protagonists are special. Ms. Flores does a wonderful job painting her imaginary world with words.

Robert Salisbury | 5 comments Hello fantasy readers (and fellow writers). I'm Robert Salisbury and below is a brief "blurb" for my first novel Setisia. It's an unusual and original fantasy/adventure.

Young hunter Tellimakis is from a small community existing in complete isolation from the rest of humanity, cut off by distance and the natural barrier of a great mountain range. Aware of his people's history, he knows that his ancestors escaped from their country on the far side of the mountains during a time of great strife. As Tellimakis approaches adulthood, he is consumed with curiosity as to the fate of the great civilization left behind by his forebears, and sets off for the huge mountains in an attempt to rediscover the ancient Kingdom beyond. He finds many surprises on the way, not least among them, the charming Setisia.

Hailey Woerner (haileywoerner) | 39 comments Hi everyone! I'm Hailey Woerner, and I'm a fantasy novelist, and have finally completed one novel, which is now published on most ebook sites. I'm a teenage author, so I guess that's something noteworthy! :D

My book is a fantasy set in the medieval time period, and could also be classed as an action/adventure, but the main genre is fantasy.

Jade has lived in the same girl's orphanage all her life, where she's shunned by the rest of the girls, and the Mistress never seems pleased with her.
One day, after stealing food from the orphanage one too many times for a starving village, the Mistress banishes Jade from the one place she calls home.

With nowhere to go, and nowhere to live, Jade takes to the streets and stumbles into a mysterious boy on the run. One morning, she's horrified to discover the king's ring in the boy's bag, and learns that he's a part of a rebel plot to start a war and kill the king. Just when things don't look like they can get any worse, something happens that takes Jade's speech away forever, and she has no way to reveal the plot she discovered.

Learn how trust can be shattered in this thrilling tale through deceit and betrayal, and fight with Jade as she battles through terrors she never knew existed....

You can find it here: Jaded The SilentWhisperer by Hailey Woerner

Good day to you all!

I am Philip Mcclennan, a writer of Fantasy/Action and Suspense. My debut novel 'Clash Of Worlds' combines the genres of realm Fantasy and Action. It has just been released on Kindle.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0...

And why is he able to do phenomenal things? James possesses remarkable abilities, skills that no other person is capable of. That is, nobody but Chad, another boy he encounters in the orphanage.

The two become inspirable and set out on a quest to discover why it is they can do the things they can do. However their skills do not go unnoticed. After the appearance of a strange man dressed in white, a man who displays the same unearthly skills as they do, James and Chad attempt to track down the mysterious figure. It is a task that proves not so difficult, however the man seems intent on destroying them both.

As James struggles to combat a much superior foe, Chad’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic. As his past comes back to haunt him, James must not only face a seemingly unbeatable enemy, and contain an increasingly unstable friend, but he must also answer the riddles of a girl in his dreams. Cayt Mirra | 2 comments Eugen opened a case and placed it on a bench where I could see it. It was full of syringes of varying sizes. The healers in Koraliss used syringes to treat the sick, but I had never seen such large ones. He picked one up and held it up to the light. It was full of an opaque blue liquid. It looked thick, like a gel, but when he pressed on the end of it, droplets the consistency of water spurted out the top. I squirmed, but my hands and legs were bound tightly to the table. I strained my neck, trying to keep Eugen in my eye line. He kept talking.

‘What we don’t know, is why you were running. The Chamber is very keen to find you, so either you stole something from them, or you have information. I suspect the latter. What I need from you today – I think you will find it is very reasonable – is for you to tell me exactly what it is you know, and why you were running from the Chamber. In return, I won’t insert this into your inner thigh.’

Hi everyone,

My name is Cayt Mirra and I have just released my debut novel The Blood Apothecary.

Aaron-Michael Hall Greetings,

My name is Aaron-Michael and I write adult epic/high fantasy. Book I, The Rise of Nazil and Book II, Seed of Scorn. "http://www.amazon.com/Seed-Scorn-Rise..." are currently available.

A little bit about book one...
It was the 75th year of Alberoth when the AsZar summoned the Guardians. There was an imbalance in the lands of Faélondul. The Zaxson, Draizeyn Vereux covered the lands in a pall of darkness. There was a plan to exterminate the infestation in Nazil and beyond, a plan to eradicate the humans.

Led by the priestly cast called the Cha, the Xenophobic Nazilians dominating Faélondul justified their brutalities against the humans. But when the First Chosen of the elite guard of Nazil discovers Brahanu Ravenot lost near the gates of the city, not only his life but also his entire system of beliefs is forever changed. With darkness covering the lands, can love—forbidden, yet eternal—save both humans and Nazilians?

The Rise of Nazil is an adult fantasy novel that takes your breath away. Intricate plotting, intense passion, exciting battles, and complex, challenging characters pull the reader into the mythical world of Faélondul, where powerful ethereal beings wrestle for domination against the brutal Nazilian rulers.

“Aaron -Michael Hall has the uncanny power to weave even the most delicate tapestry of conflict—both within and without—into a deeply moving narrative. A dazzling read, ‘The Rise of Nazil’ is a story that will leave you gripping the edge of your seats. It is an unforgettable tale of love, self-sacrifice and acceptance that will haunt you days after reading it. Begin your journey through the land of Faélondul—and witness how love can transcend race, belief, and deadly prejudice—and lifts away darkness from the lands.”

*This title contains adult content and graphic scenes. For mature readers only.*

The Rise of Nazil series is a diverse and intricate fantasy novels. If you enjoy great world-building, new languages, political intrigue, memorable characters and a great well-told story, Faelondul may be for you.

There is some graphic content. If you are easily offended, this is not the series for you. Thank you! :)

Shean Pao (shean_pao) I'm excited to announce that I am the first author to be promoted in A David Farland Discovery.

David Farland has chosen The Feather and the Moon Well as the first novel to promote A David Farland Discovery. As a writing instructor, he has mentored dozens of New York Times bestselling authors, including Brandon Sanderson (Wheel of Time), Brandon Mull (Fablehaven), James Dashner (The Maze Runner), and Stephenie Meyer (Twilight). David is an award winning, NYT best selling author himself.

"In THE FEATHER AND THE MOON WELL, Shean Pao draws upon traditional tales of the fairy realm for inspiration, but creates a world that is uniquely her own. The resulting tale is richly drawn and completely seductive. This is a story that bears reading again and again." --New York Times bestselling fantasy author David Farland.

What an honor and privilege it is, to not only be associated with such a talented writer, but to be supported and encouraged by him as well. WordFire Press will be publishing The Feather and the Moon Well March 28, 2016.

And now, a little about the book:

We Must Live By The Choices We Make--What If Helping Someone Evil Could Free You From An Eternal Prison...

Legend tells of a sorceress, living within a white tower outside of the great city of Ethcabar, who owns a vast hoard of strange and curious items. If you bring her something precious to add to her Collection, she may grant your wish... or curse you.
But no one knows that the Willow Woman also possesses a Moon Well -- an item of immense power. One of its many abilities grants her to see into the future, and thus alter its course.

When she sees an item within the Moon Well, a great flaming feather of incredible beauty that has the ability to free her from her tower-prison, she discovers she will have to create an evil spell for a Nepha-Lord to get it. However, the devastation to the surrounding countryside, its people, and the certainty of her own misery might be too high of a price to pay.

Barbarus is a slave who wishes to be free of his Master, a Nepha-Lord of the sixth hell. He is sent on a journey to gather a rare item for the Willow Woman's spell. The spell his Master desires will bind a Core-Demon to the Nepha Lord's will, and give him terrible power. Barbarus discovers he has choices, and desires of his own. His growing friendship with Anarra, will either bring him release of servitude, or certain death.

Neither Barbarus nor his master know the Willow Woman is hiding secrets of a different kind, and the use of these powers is forbidden by her own people. Will she lose the love of the one man she has come to accept? Will she risk love, friendship and the terrible war she sees within the Moon Well to obtain The Feather?

A story of selfishness, friendship, betrayal, and hope. The Feather and the Moon Well is a magical tale built within the fringe of Irish Mythology. It is the first novel by Shean Pao in the epic series, In the Brilliance of Sun.

Book 2: Michael Hanson and the Misted Ruins is undergoing editing right now and looking to be published within 2 months, so an ARC copy will be available for those who are interested. I'd truly appreciate those who would like to give an honest review. MHDW is on KindleUnlimited and I also can give free copies(PDF, mobi or epub). If interested email me: elervin1087@gmail.com

Chrys Cymri Hi all, my two fantasy books 'The Dragon Throne' and 'The Unicorn Throne' are getting four and five star reviews, but of course I'd like some more reviewers! Please contact me if you want ebook review copies. My website is www.chryscymri.com and here's the blurb from 'The Dragon Throne':

You have only one part of the Summoning Ring,’ said the dragon to Fianna. ‘And neither the knowledge nor the strength to use it even if it were complete.’

Fianna is the only child of King Stannard and Queen Fiona, and has always expected to become the next Keeper of the Dragon Throne. She exiles herself from the court when her father decides to take a second wife. Recalled to Secondus castle after Stannard’s death, she has to contend with the split loyalties among the royal knights. In desperation, she agrees to summon the dragons to support her claim to the throne. Their challenge sends her to meet them in their Sacred Mountains.

In the woods of the unicorn herd, the Prancer loses his milk-brother to an attack by a dragon. He travels across the human kingdoms to seek the killer, discovering the complexities of human relationships and the delights of ale along the way.

They meet at the Sacred Mountains. And so begins a story of love, friendship — and betrayal. The Dragon Throne (The Four Kingdoms Book 1) by Chrys Cymri

Conner's Odyssey book 1

When 14-year-old Conner finds himself on Rohwen—a world as dangerous as it is wondrous—he is forced to come to the hard realization that the only chance he has of finding his way home rests in the hands of a fifteen-year-old Rohwenite named Medwin. But Medwin has other plans for him. Lost in a world he knows nothing about, Conner has no choice but to follow Medwin on a journey that, unbeknownst to him, will uncover the truth of his destiny.
