I just wanted to let you know about my new book, Haunted Tree.

It's an Historical Urban Fantasy that takes place in sixth century England. It's also not your standard magic and wizard tale, either. The first reviews are in and they're all 5 stars! So if you are looking for something new and different, check it out.
Thanks,
Scott Robert Scheller

Four days ago I self-published my debut fantasy novella, The Dragon's Roar (getting my name out there is both frightening and exciting. Hopefully people will enjoy reading my work). It's the first book in a planned trilogy.
The dragons are thought to be extinct, their fearsome fire extinguished forever, their deafening roars just a mere memory, yet the Cursed Ones, humans with dragon blood in their veins, still tread the land.
Men, women, sometimes even children, are accused of being related to the beasts of old and often, if not always, executed for such a vile crime.
And it is in the cold lands of Endrand that the young Alexander Hailstone discovers how unjust these accusations are and finds himself wandering beyond Aenir's walls after witnessing the death of his mother.
He will realise that, perhaps, he was not wrongly accused after all.

My name is T.C.R. Felton and my first YA Fantasy novel, "Lightsreach" will be going on sale shortly.

In a land where only a few can live in the light, one young girl may be the key to bringing the entire world out of the darkness.
Without knowing the secret prophecies that have altered her destiny, ten-year-old Lily will have to leave the safety of her home in Lightsreach on a journey that will alter the course of the future. But when she and her mysterious travelling companion are waylaid along the way, things quickly spiral out of control.
Suddenly, this young girl is the epicenter of a revolution that had been brewing within an ancient, lost civilization for thousands of years. Lily is the key to restoring peace and balance in a world torn asunder when it long ago lost the light.
The book's website is now live, featuring original artwork (did I mention I have a degree in Fine Art?) and a trailer. The Facebook page is the best way to stay up to date on news and the upcoming release date. Don't forget to like and share, it's free!

Hello! I've just published What Remains of Heroes, the first volume in my epic fantasy series A Requiem for Heroes. It is free today on Amazon, afterward just $2.99. The book is somewhat darker stuff, though with themes of redemption and finding courage in the face of danger, it avoids the hopelessness emblematic of grimdark fantasy. The book blurb is:
Lannick deVeers used to be somebody. A hero, even. Then, he ran afoul of the kingdom’s most powerful general and the cost he paid was nearly too much to bear. In the years that followed, his grief turned him into a shadow of his former self, and he spent his days drowning his regrets in tankards of ale.
But now an unexpected encounter casts Lannick upon an unlikely path to revenge. If he can just find the strength to overcome the many mistakes of his past, he can seize the chance to become a hero once more.
And with an ancient enemy lurking at the kingdom’s doorstep, he’d better…

Survival Quest by Vasily Mahanenko
Barliona. A virtual world jam-packed with monsters, battles - and predictably, players. Millions of them come to Barliona, looking forward to the things they can't get in real life: elves and magic, dragons and princesses, and unforgettable combat. The game has become so popular that players now choose to spend months online without returning home. In Barliona, anything goes: you can assault fellow players, level up, become a mythical hero, a wizard or a legendary thief. The only rule that attempted to regulate the game demanded that no player was allowed to feel actual pain.
But there's an exception to every rule. For a certain bunch of players, Barliona has become their personal hell. They are criminals sent to Barliona to serve their time. They aren't in it for the dragons' gold or the abundant loot. All they want is to survive the virtual inferno. They face the ultimate survival quest.

My books are on the different sites. I'm currently running a Kindle sale this week and it's 99 cents on both the US and Amazon sites. Maybe the author didn't know to reduce the price on both sites.

It’s the 21st century, time travel is still an H.G. Wells (Wellsian) fantasy but not for Rebeka Tyler. The renowned renaissance scholar finds herself tossed into the 17th century. While trying to find her way back she discovers the only person who knows the answer but it will cost her dearly, her heart, and if she’s lucky, her future, for she has not been tossed into the past, but returned to where she belongs.

Maximilian, the druid Grand Master, was given a year to find his soul mate. On the final day, the sacred mistletoe has shriveled and died—proclaiming his failure. He must do what no other Grand Master has done before and journey to meet with the Ancestors formally relinquish his title.
Ellyn of Brodgar has the gift of healing. But each use of her magick, through a kiss, depletes her energy and brings her closer to death. Time is running out as she searches for a way to continue saving lives—especially her own.
Max and Ellyn are tossed into the Otherworld together—a place filled with magick and wonder, it’s also fraught with danger, traps, and death. They have only until the third sunset to find the Ancestors, or be lost to the world forever. The domineering druid must work with the stubborn healer, not only for survival, but for the promise of the future—a future together.
Fifteen years later. See how the man destined for Max and Ellyn’s daughter takes the first steps in becoming a druid knight.
Arik, son of Fendrel and Dimia, prepares for training with his adopted brother, Bran, setting into motion a ripple effect that will carry love, betrayal, and death across the centuries.

For months Lord Arik has been trying to find the precise spell to rescue his wife, Rebeka, but the druid knight will soon discover that reaching her four hundred years in the future is the easiest part of his quest.
Bran, the dark druid, follows Arik across the centuries, tireless in his quest for revenge. He’ll force Arik to make a choice, return to save his beloved family and home or stay in the 21st century and save Rebeka. He can’t save them both.
Rebeka Tyler has no recollection of where she’s been the past five months. On top of that, ownership of her home, Fayne Manor, is called into question. When accidents begin to happen it looks more and more like she is the target. Further complicating things is the strange man who conveniently appears wherever trouble brews—watching her, perhaps even….protecting her? Or is he a deliberate attempt to distract her? Rebeka can only be sure of one thing—her family name and manor have survived for over eleven centuries. She won’t let them fall… in any century.

I have another series, The Stelton Legacy, about the seven sons of a seventh son with the first book published.

England, 1290
Lord Alex Stelton can't resist a challenge, especially one with a prize like this: protect a castle on the Scottish border for a year, and it's his. Desperate for land of his own, he'll do anything to win the estate—even enter a proxy marriage to Lady Lisbeth Reynolds, the rumored witch who lives there.
Feared and scorned for her second sight, Lisbeth swore she'd never marry, but she is drawn to the handsome, confident Alex. She sees great love with him but fears what he would think of her gift and her visions of a traitor in their midst.
Despite his own vow never to fall in love, Alex can't get the alluring Lisbeth out of his mind and is driven to protect her when attacks begin on the border. But as her visions of danger intensify, Lisbeth knows it is she who must protect him. Realizing they'll secure their future only by facing the threat together, she must choose between keeping her magic a secret and losing the man she loves.

My forehead’s throbbing. One minute this girl is yelling at me for giving up and the next, she’s laughing. Whiplash.
I squint my eyes at Danielle and whisper with my lips firmly in place, “I will never give up.”
Her voice is high and cheerful, “So what’s your plan?”
Johnny Boggs is a teen with trouble to spare who has learned one thing in life - trust no one. Paranoia befriends him as he moves into his fifth foster home and discovers no one appears as they are, his dreams are not just dreams, and he is supposedly the Prince of Shamayim.
On Johnny’s sixteenth birthday, fate requires him to leave the protection of this world but allows for him to choose to reign over the light or turn to the darkness. A vicious competition begins as two kingdoms fight for his loyalty while two beautiful girls, Danielle and Shay, fight for his attention. Time is running out; a decision must be made. Johnny finds it impossible to resist the beauty of his dreams, nor can he turn away from the one who has his heart.

Welcome!

Treading Twisted Lines with Darren, Maddi, and Kai is a story cycle set in the Four Free Areas, a technologically advanced world where Gods watch from rivers and fantastical arts are practiced by wizards and priests.
Currently, the first three stories are available with Book 4 complete and soon to come. I hope to write 25 stories in this series and finish with a novel.
Book #1 - The Chosen Voice
Journalism student Christine enters a tavern to conduct an interview with self-proclaimed wizard singer Darren Brown. Her goal: to unearth Darren’s hidden truths. Her obstacles: his annoying fans, and Darren himself. Her benefactor: a puzzling woman who will pay well to know why Darren fled their town when he heard an extraordinary young man from a temple far away had vanished.
Book #2 - Under the Bright Water
Young traveller Kai has spent years in search of salvation, a cure for his debilitating curse. When he discovers the cleansing Bright Water and is taken in by the kind priests who keep it, blessings soon become blights as Kai sinks in his crushing need for purity, and discovers the shattering truth behind his curse.
Book #3 - The Rat
A father drives into the desert with his young son, a small family on an exciting road trip to any police officer or petrol station attendant that looks their way. But this father isn’t the pleasant soul he acts for strangers. And it’s not suitcases weighing down the back of his sedan.

I'd really appreciate recommendations on any works you consider to be postmodern fantasy fiction.

I'm Stephen R. Harrison. If you like multi genre contemporary fantasy with plenty of twists and turns take a look at my novel Lorenzo's Cause. The book is also on Storycartel.com until the 4th June for free.

If you have an Amazon account, then you can select a free copy, and read it with their cloud-viewer, or an app on your phone. You can even lend the free copy to a friend, if you wish. Each volume could be read in a lunch-hour, for a bit of a diversion. Enjoy!

I published my dark fantasy/horror novel Into the Darkness at the end of January. Now, I'm trying to connect with fellow fantasy writers and readers.
Here's a brief synopsis of my novel:
"Long ago, a once-famous adventurer sealed his treasures away in the Black Caverns, cursing them as he died. Aeryn Ravane, a headstrong sell-sword on a mission to honor her late father and complete the quest he never finished, has finally found the key to unlocking the Black Caverns. Unbeknownst to Aeryn, rumor of this find has brought unwanted attention her way, including that of a young thief seeking to buy her brother’s freedom.
When their paths cross at the Black Caverns, they soon discover a dark secret the caverns hold within them. Faced with an ancient evil bent upon resurrecting a long-forgotten time of darkness and suffering, both sell-sword and thief must face down their personal demons and work together to push back the darkness once again."
An excerpt of the book is posted on the Into the Darkness page, and review copies are available upon request.

Alluring Song
Alluring Song is a fantasy that crosses several genre lines, containing strong elements of romance, high fantasy and horror, blended into one.
In a world where gods wield power over mankind, testing their loyalties and their hearts, there are some men that will rise from the ashes.
This story begins with the sea.
A beautiful goddess whose misplaced affection unleashed a wave of torment upon those who had wronged her, creating the means to wipe her beloved daughters from her sea.
A mother whose love defied the laws of life and death, protecting her daughter from the demons of her past.
A young woman who could not escape her fate or the will of her heart, leading her to embrace a man created to destroy her.
Three warriors forged from a curse that has plagued them for generations, one seeking vengeance, one struggling with his nature as revelations shake his beliefs, and one that embraced his need for battle.
A queen whose thirst for power leaves a trail of destruction in her wake by her use of deceit and dark magic.
And a disheartened king with two sons, one born of love, the other pure evil, with a nature so dark it threatens to destroy all in his path.
The struggle for power has begun.

My name is Felicite D. Lilly and I worked, wrangled, screamed and loved out the book Demons. Demons: A Hunter's Novel, Book 1
I would love to hear from other authors, readers (of course) ANYONE. I've had my friends, family, and a couple others who I have no connection to read, but always need more.
Excerpt:
This office spoke of coldness and superiority. Things that Az wouldn’t have had six months ago, but now Azrael owned them. Maybe I didn’t know him anymore. Something told me that my Az was still somewhere in Azrael, I just couldn’t see where.
“The building’s glamoured?” I asked him.
The crap-hole I had seen was actually a gorgeous high rise that had been hidden by Demon magic so no one could see it. I really was numb. Perhaps too numb, I now realized. I should’ve been able to feel this. I had done a damn thorough job of blocking out the world.
“Of course. Couldn’t have anyone finding this place.”
The unspoken or you hurt. He had put me back with “them” and I won’t lie, it stung. The Hunters. The enemy he had fought, in one way or another, for the length of his existence. That’s how he saw me. But he was him and I was me and we were us. Right? I guess the new us was kicking me in the ass and I deserved every bit of it.
“Fair enough.”
Azrael’s eyes sparkled for a moment and he turned to look out the window with his back to me to keep me from seeing the sparkle. I wondered what that look had turned into. Did he hate me now, as much as he had loved me then?

My name is Maddy and I have recently published my first book, Broken Dreams:
Xav Gauchi has had a happy childhood, with loving parents who would give him the world if they could. He is full of dreams and when he gets the chance to make them come true, he takes it with both hands: he leaves his home to embark on a journey around the land of Nalay. He wants to learn more about the kingdom and the people, so that he will make a good advisor to King Aedd once the time comes for him to take over his father’s job.
Cenna Torell is equally full of dreams, but she has been forced into an arranged marriage by her father, despite the fact that she is in love with someone else. For a moment, it seems like things will take a turn for the better; but then tragedy strikes.
When Xav meets Cenna and learns more about her life and her past, he tries to help her; but she refuses to let him. Xav, however, does not give up so easily and when the situation reaches a boiling point, Cenna realises that allowing Xav to help her might be the only chance she has of changing her fate.

The story of Starscape begins thanks to a complete coincidence. When Pluriel is accidentally reminded of old prophecy, he and three companions begin the journey towards Duskmoor Keep, located in the dreaded Nevarra Swamp. Their mission? A near hopeless attempt to recover the Sword of the Star, stolen centuries ago by Jalavak and now said to be protected by a dragon. This Sword is the only weapon which can defeat the Dark Lord, for he was wounded by it in the war of the Valintari at the dawn of time.
But what can Pluriel, Ringard, Galdore, and Tristal do alone? For if the Sword is to be recovered, the Star itself must fall from the sky - and how could such a thing come to pass?
Starscape is set in a richly imagined world, and will appeal to adults both young and old.

This looks terrific!

Persephone, the Greek goddess of springtime, has been masquerading as the human Stephanie for almost 500 years to escape her annual imprisonment.
Now Hades has found her and dragged her back down to Hell.
Forced to judge souls and craft their perfect punishment, Stephanie chafes at her long-forgotten role as the Iron Queen of Hell. In retribution for her long absence, Hades vows to find a way to keep Stephanie with him forever. When the fiance of Stephanie’s best friend Jane dies in a car accident, Hades offers a wager. If Jane can find her fiance’s soul in Hell and bring him to the Earth’s surface without looking back, she'll win his life.
The price if Jane fails? Stephanie must spend the rest of her eternal life in Hell.
As their quest brings both women to the brink of despair, Stephanie must not only ensure that Jane wins the wager at all costs, but also relearn what it means to be a goddess.

I am so very excited to announce that the second book to my Dragon Guardian series, Dragon Guardian: Water, was just published yesterday! If you like stories with strong, female leads, then I encourage you to give the series a try :)

However, before she can join with the second dragon, she finds herself abducted by pirates! As though that were not troublesome enough, the land of Primordya finds itself facing a new, impending war upon its shores in addition to the constant threat of Nahga--leaving Marin’s companions unable to rescue her.
Alone in the middle of the ocean, Marin must find her way back home if she is to have any hope of achieving her destiny…
But how can she when she finds herself suddenly bereft of her powers?

Hey! Your work sounds great! We should talk about each other's books and maybe swap stories? I'd be interested in what you think of my book because it's right up your alley.

Sounds good!

I'm Stephanie Cress and I wrote my first novel, Gilded Shadows, as a part of the 2007 NaNoWriMo. After more edits than I can count, I started pitching it around, until I finally brought it with me to the Las Vegas Writers Conference to pitch in person to the agents and publishers attending.
Nothing beats pitching in person (as long as you know your story inside and out. And which of us doesn't?). Anyway, it wasn't long before I got accepted by the people at New Link Publishing out of Las Vegas.
My release day is today! Here's my blurb:
All the people in the city of Old Dominion live together in harmony, except for those of mixed race, according to the author. The Sunfolk church has decided that the Mixed are second-class citizens because they cannot reproduce. Through her research, Dela has discovered that they can indeed bear children and the church will do anything to keep her quiet. They send Gilwin, an assassin who studies his targets until he finds his own reason to kill them. But when it comes to Dela, he cannot justify the execution. Now Gilwin is questioning his employers for the first time in his career. He's caught up in Dela's revolution...and he's falling in love. As the two of them uncover the church's greatest secret, Gilwin discovers that the contracts he makes are unbreakable. Changing his mind about the assassination will still cost Dela her life.

My name's Natalie. Nice to virtually meet you all!
I've just published a book called "The Fantastic Fable of Peter Able" - it is a "light" fantasy meets humor. If that's your bag (think Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, etc.), feel free to read it! It just came out June 30, and I'm working on the sequel right now - so if you like it, don't worry, there's more.
If you don't like it, don't worry, you don't have to read the next one. :-)
Here's the link: The Fantastic Fable of Peter Able

Leya: Sphere of Vision Book One by Bonnie Ferrante
By C. J. Anaya Author of The Healer Series
This fantasy book was a fun and intriguing read...
I enjoyed Leya's character simply because she was wonderfully flawed.. .
I enjoyed Leya's friends and the main villain in the book. Their interplay and dialogue made for some interesting reading.
The battle at the end between everyone's gifts added an element of tension and conflict which carries through to the second book. I loved the way the author described the battle. Descriptive eye candy is how I would label it. Though the book doesn't end with a huge cliff hanger it leaves unanswered questions for the next book in the series. This is a solid first instalment in an interesting and thought provoking fantasy. I highly recommend it to all fantasy lovers.
