Recently I read the overview for a young adult book, and I thought I had marked it "to read", but I guess I didn't, and now all I can think about is this book so please help me figure out what the title is! Here is how I remember the overview and I am not a writer so please don't judge my writing :) The book is about a girl who was staying with her parents at a house and in the middle of the night they decide to leave. In the car her mom tells her to get down and the parent's are discussing someone following them? Well years later, (I think after her parents have died) she finds something that belongs to the people at the house she lived at when she was younger (possibly in her fathers belongings). She wants to return the house, but when she calls and says her name they hang up on her? So I think she takes a job there so she can either return this object she found/unravel a mystery...

So that was probably the worst overview of a book and I apologize, but if you have any idea what I am talking about please let me know!

Valerie | 58 comments Do you remember the cover at all? Publishing year?

I am pretty sure it either came out this year or isn't out yet! I found it on a young adult list, and I have gone back through almost every single one and I still can't find it!!

Valerie | 58 comments Is it young adult? I can't think of anything so far but it sounds like a good book to me.

Yes, it is a young adult book.

Thanks so much!! I think your right. Actually now that you say that, I think I accidentally combined two book descriptions to get the one I wrote. Double Identity is on my list of books "to read" so that makes sense.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 218 comments Hurray! You're welcome, Morgan. :)
