So far I am liking it better than Fallen (another angel book). The action starts much quicker in this one and I am thinking we will get some answers much quicker as well.

Allison | 11 comments I picked the book on last Friday and am about 1/2 through it. It is a fast read I have enjoyed her writing style.
Seems to be not so much fast paced but moving well.
She allows you as the reader to work through your thoughts much like Nora is finding the answers that you think you need to know.
I am trying not to skip ahead and peek to see if what I think is going to unfold.
So far I would reccomend it.

I do really like it. It is moving way faster than Fallen did.

Allison | 11 comments Finished my last 5 pages this morning.
It is a good read. I was amazed at how fast it went for me even with the other projects I have in the fire at this moment.
So if you haven't read it, do. And it you are thinking you do not have the time not to worry it won't matter because her writing just flows.
Has a good ending much is left open for another if it happens but not so that if it doesn't that you will be left hanging in space.

Almost done. It is keeping me really interested because I am carrying it around in my car to read at stoplights and last night I went to bed early so I would have more reading time (that and criminal minds was totally scary and I needed to wait and watch that in the daylight). Anyway, I will be done today so whoever wants it next can let me know and I will get them my copy!

The chemistry between Patch and Nora is really well written.

Jodie | 36 comments I completed it on a bus ride to Billings. It was very well written as everyone stated but it was very hard to explain when my friend asked what it was about. I didn't really like the ending. Not that it was bad, but I felt it could have had a little more. It left me with the that is it frustration. I don't know maybe that is good...

Well I read this entire book in one afternoon. I'd say "step aside, Edward Cullen, Patch is just as hot, dangerous and sucks you right in." I liked the relationship between Patch and Nora. Her best-friend Vee, however, I could have done without. This book was quick reading with easy dialogue. I felt the ending was good. It ended complete, but with a few open windows to spin off another story. There was a point through the middle where it was just like a series of bad experiences and I was ready for it to "get on with it, explain some things, or move to the next step." but finally it did and the turn out was satisfying. Actually the ending was a little bit of a surprise, I knew something wasn't right with a few of the characters and I found myselft guessing how they would play out, and then found myself wrong. I like it when a book turns away from the obvious.

Only one criticism would be that there were a few too many Antagonists for the story, I thought. All of these characters having 'bad' motives working independantly of eachother, but each affecting Nora in some way. But they all tied together in the end, which I guess is how its supposed to be. I had a few open-ended questions about Patch and his life. But maybe sometimes you are meant to fill in with just your imagination.

I really enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone.

Did anyone wonder in the end...
Where does Patch live? Does he sleep?

Why would he just rip off Dabria's Wings and then that's it, she just leaves for the night?

Why if Nephilia cannot be killed, their decendants can (i.e. Nora and her Dad)? And then if Nora dies, then Chauncy Dies? I didn't quite get that part.

Did Patch kill her dad?

What was the big signifigance of the Amusement park and that town? He said he had a long history there. But that's it.

Maybe I missed some of these answers in my reading. Maybe they are left to answer in the next book.. Cresendo

Jodie | 36 comments I think Dabria will be back and she is not going to be a happy camper...

I felt like I needed to re-read sections of the book or at least the 1st section because I got a little lost. I thought Patch was going to die if something happened to Nora, I kind of forgot about the Guardian Angel piece and am still a little interested in how that all came about.

I also agree about the Amusment Park, the roller coaster gave had the pictures on Patch's life so...

I still couldn't come up with the words to describe the book today...

Tonia Paulson (tonia21) | 3 comments OK I just started but will have it done in the next couple of days. I like it so far so I am excited...

message 14: by Allison (new)

Allison | 11 comments I will have to agree with Jodie, it is a hard book to explain.
Things I wanted to know..why did Nora need the iron pills? is that something that had to do with her being 1/2 immortal? and if her dad was why is he dead? Can he die? or did he just "have" to go away and that is how they did it..
Again...need to know more details of Patch.
Vee was somewhat annoying sidetrack but I suppose you would need something like that.
I look forward to the next book for answers.

I thought the Iron thing was odd... I remember being anemic in high school and to take iron, it never seemed like something that had anxiety associtated with it, just tired and/or weak, or that you would feel irons effects immediately. But maybe her's is supposed to be severe??!?

It is strange, I really liked this book, and even looking back, even with all the questions left, I still like it. I am hoping for answers in the next one.

I am sure it will also be a huge love triangle saga with Dabria in book two.

Tonia Paulson (tonia21) | 3 comments I finished the book and I likes it. I loved Patch! Vee drove me nuts and I also had a hard time understanding the mom being gone for so long. I am looking forward to the next one and also passing it on to Maddi.

Allison | 11 comments My 15year old daughter read it in two days and loved it. Has passed it on to her friend.
I did a little bit of reading on "fallen Angels"
There are 3 I think or 4 different versions on them
The Author was pretty well read on one of them.
Was interesting. Basically they leave heaven for earth and love of a mortal woman.
