what is it about vamps that gets u drawn in? what makes u like them? is it the pale skin? the immortality? the night life? feel free to tell!

for me its the mysterious-ness of them. its SOOOO hot :))) and plus, i kinda look like one lolz im freakisly pale; i hate the sun and stay out of it as much as possible (i was with my friends and it was like cold and windy and we were under the skywalk-type thing at our school and they wanted to go in the sun so i stayed back on my own in the shadows lolz they were right next to me but there was a divider of sunlight); i never get tan, always burned; and according to my friends i act like them sometimes (the whole mysterious thing that is lolz)

For me I think its the soul-mate deal...vampires are drawn to the one person and intend on keeping them forever (literally) and I like old fashion gentleman stuff so thats a part of it...oh and did I mention they're HOT?? lmaooo I guess they can make me one anyway...I dnt plan on getting any older lol...

lol. yup i agree with u there girls, vamps r hot! but for me i guess it has to be that most of them are real... i dunno how to explain it. i guess they have this raw power and intellegence that humans dont come anywhere near. and yeah the whole gentleman thing is a bonus in the older vamps.

They just have a certain allure to them! I looove them. Maybe because they are in our imaginations and fantasies or nightmares? I love reading about stuff that isn't real and that's one of the main reasons I love vampires.

and yeah julie thats an interesting observation, i could agree with that. i wander who came up with vampires... who invented them?? did the same person invent werewolfs and all the other thngs that go bump in the night? and if theres no real source, i wander if they do exist lol. i know im a freak, but who knows??? it could be possible. i mean in most of the books it says humans arent supposed to know, so maybe thats why we dont believe in them? oh nevermind lol i sound like a rambling idiot.

I think about that, too! You are not a freak! I always wander if the people who created vampires and stuff had something they based it on. It seems weird for them to just randomly think of vampires, unless they have awesome imaginations.

IDK thats what I always see on the internet, they're usually romanian and french of some sorts lol thats an awesome imagination if they did make it up, and in someways if it truw then it's kind of creepy too lmao

hmmm... i dont know about people desiring everything a vampire has. definitely, there are certain qualities about vampires that are alluring, but there are others that might not sit well with some people. nothing is perfect right? and being an ideal image makes something perfect.

i think it all started around Count Dracula who really was not a vampire at all he was a merciless ruler who would put the heads of his enemy's on pikes his real name was Vlad the Impaler. Stories of vampires were to scare people compared to now they are viewed differently.

okie so i just brought up good old wikipedia and it said that whats his name - Vlad was and evil ruler and all that, blah blah blah. and that he had a nickname dracula. which i think is where people got confused because thats the name bram stoker used for his vampire book - dracula. he was friends with a professor who was apparantly very knowledgable about Vlad, and i think people thought that was the connection. thats why he used that particular name as his vampire because Vlad was indeed one. well thats what i gather anyway lol.

hey did u guys know it wasnt until the 1800s or so that vampire myths/legends/stories started to include attractive vampires. before that they were quite shady charcters, it said something about them being bloated too.

yeah. one series i read about vamps had Vlad in it lol. went on that he was the first true vampire and that his wife thought he was killed in battle so she killed herself, when really he didnt die on account of him being a vamp.
did he have a wife when he died? did she kill herself?

oh and people went around staking other people ( dont know if the people were alive or already dead actually) at one stage because people really believed in all the stories. there was mass hysteria and people were accused of vampirism.

oh yeah i heard about all that stuff. people here in NZ have claimed to be vampires too. i think theyre just seeking attention. one girl went so far as to say she drinks other peoples blood when they let her. another guy had a dentist give him fangs - even when the dentist told him that his mouth was the wrong shape and he wouldnt be able to close his mouth properly again.

another guy had a wife and kids and the poor kids didnt know what to make of him - they were so confused.
