Miriam Murcutt | 34 comments I'm looking for a great, new 2025/2026 read - a novel set somewhere in small-town America that focuses on family secrets and relationships. I like interesting historical time periods - the Great Depression, the post-war 1950s, the radical 1970s, etc.

Look forward to getting your ideas for a new read for me. Thanks.

A.Putman-Bey | 3 comments The Many Daughters of Afong Moy
By Jamie Ford

This novel moves across time, but its emotional core rests in family trauma passed down through generations, including sections grounded in mid-20th-century America. It’s intimate, reflective, and rooted in how history shapes identity inside families, especially the things left unsaid. It a good read sorry for the delay I just turn my notifications on.

Miriam Murcutt | 34 comments Hi Tim
Thanks for asking me. However, you write in a genre I simply don't read, so I don't think I'd be in a position to give your book a fair review.

Good luck with 'Morph.'
