Worked through the discussion questions from the Ayn Rand Institute on this section.

The difference between Roark and Toohey (as indicated by the opening scene of this section where Roark's architecture makes an impact on a stranger) is that Roark's work transcends the indivuda and leaves a lasting contribution, even though Roark appears to operate just for himself. Toohey, who claims a committment to the collective, contributes nothing lasting.
