10.9 - Three of a Kind?
The number three is significant in many mythologies and religions. Read a book that has exactly 3 living beings (mammal, bird, fish, reptile - no trees, flowers, etc.) on the cover. You can mix and match - 3 people; 2 people and a dog; a cow, a cat and a cobra............

REQUIRED: Include the cover in your post.

yep, two people and a dog = 3 living beings.

message 9: by Teri-K (new)

Teri-K Please check this for me. GR blows it up nicely, but my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I'd prefer to have someone else look at it, too. In case there's something hiding in those shadows. :) In the Land of Blue Burqas by Kate McCord

Thanks!

I went to Amazon and blew it up to a ginormous size, and still couldn't tell if one of the suspicious looking shadows was a living creature! So, I'm calling this one good - I think we could make ourselves nuts with the Rorschach test of those shadows!

Be sure and note in your post that it was approved in the HT so that Dlmrose doesn't have to go through the same process.

yes, there are enough body parts to identify three people!

Thanks, Sandy. I'll make a note of the pre-approval for when I post. :)

I like the idea of a book cover Rorschach test: "Look closely at this cover. Do you see an animal? An ice cream cone? Very suspicious..." lol

yes, there's enough there to tell that it's a person.

I'll take it, since it's not clearly a corpse (say, a body in a coffin), and the arm is enough to identify it as a person (and if it's just an arm, no person attached, I don't even want to go there.........).

I'll take it as long as it's at least analogous to a real living thing, so this will work.

You can never go wrong with too much Terry Pratchett.

Agreed. Though I've found a few of his books I can't get into - there's always another to try or an old fave to revisit. :) And I'm happy to know that my task is enabling someone's Pratchett dependency.

I'm listening to and reading Dodger for the first time. So good!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic... lol

since it's a 10 point task, you can use a graphic novel.

It's a good book. Perhaps it would work for the "mostly white cover."

I went to Amazon and blew the cover up to HUGE, and it does seem like a man standing by the benches. Be sure to note this in your completed task post, so Dlmrose doesn't have to rethink it.
