MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Don't have one.

TTPBM: Last time you cried really hard?

message 8408: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) That is absolutely none of your business, plus I don't like pity nor attention for such things.

TTPBM: Will acquire a copy of City of Heavenly Fire as soon as it is released?

message 8409: by MJ (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Oh my goodness, I'm sorry! I didn't mean that... I should've been more specific--I had books and movies on my mind. :\

Um...nope. I don't think I've heard of that book.

TTPBM: Likes apples?

message 8410: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) It's okay...I tend to be blunt with people. For some reason I manage to come in contact with people who think they have every right to know my personal business and they can be quite rude about it, thus I am blunt.

And yes! I love apples :)

TTPBM: Has a job?

I don't have a job, naw. I'm a student. :)

TTPBM: If you could do anything in the world, money and position not a problem, what would you do?

TTPBM: likes photography? If so what kind of camera do you have?

message 8413: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments I want to get a camera and go into photography when I'm old enough to take the class at my...school...but that won't be for another two years.

TTPBM:
You have three friends.
One is a best friend, who you've known for years.
One is a good friend, you've known her/him for awhile.
One is an acquaintance, you see her/him now and then but don't have much in common.

The best friend starts growing distant, and you don't know why. The acquaintance starts engaging you more, and you become closer friends. The good friend never changes at all.

One night, you're alone in your room, and you find out a different friend, one you are also close too, is moving to the other side of the country in a week. You call her and talk for hours, crying, laughing, being friends, when she says something filled with a lot of wisdom. "We've been friends for a while, and I'm grateful for that. After I'm gone, it'll be hard to adjust, and I want you to be sure you know who your real friends are. Find someone to help you get over the fact that I'm gone, and I'll find someone to help me adjust to my new home, and we'll both be the better for it. We'll always be friends but we need other people we can trust."

You hang up the phone, awed by this, and then call the first person that pops into your brain, you're most trusted friend of the time.

Who do you call? The once-best friend? The good friend? The acquaintance? Why?

message 8414: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jazzyman) | 11 comments Oh my gosh!!! This is such a good question!;) in my case, this is kind of happening to me- minus the friend moving away and stuff, but my friend situation has been moving around. When I read the question, I thought of 3 people, and by the end I knew who I would call in that situation- but I wish I wouldn't choose that- because it would be the easy way out. I would call the good friend, because the best friend wouldn't understand anymore, and I don't feel comfortable enough to call the acquaintance- but if I had the courage to change something about my life- I would definitely choose to call the acquaintance because she is the one who put the most effort to be friends will you, and she would be something new that would change things about my life for the better:)

(I hope that was a good answer:)
TTPBM: what would you choose?

message 8415: by johanna (jo), soliloquist. (last edited May 18, 2014 04:59PM) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 11500 comments Mod
Wow . . . deep. Okay.
. . . Is this real friends, or fictitious ones?
In any case, I think I'd call up the former best friend. The other friends might be close, but only my best friend would really understand me, and be there if I needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to.
That's what I'm going to choose, anyway xD It depends, really, why the best friend is distancing themselves, and how distant they've become (on one hand, if we're really true best friends, I doubt anything would separate us . . . on the other, maybe it's something I've accidentally said or done that's distanced us, and I would then try and fix that).
I don't make really close friends easily - my best friend and I would have experienced things together, we'd have history, whereas however friendly and promising the acquaintance is, and however close they might be in the future, our friendship is still developing.
And if the good friend becomes neither closer to me or further away, then there's probably a reason for that, and they'll probably remain simply a 'good' friend for the rest of our lives, so I wouldn't call them up.

There. xD

A hot poker. Strangly enough, this situation almost happened last night to me... We all shouted that we had hot pokers and we were't afraid to use them (we were roasting marshmallows). The crackling stopped.

Same?

message 8425: by Sarah (new)

Ohy.. I should have asked person, because I just thought of the answer bodyguard... too late now! Probably one of those super bright super huge flashlights which are perfect for blinding people and if that doesn't work it's a heavy object to smack him/her/it with.

Uuuum, let's see...Question time....

TTPBM:
You were driving alone when you get lost. The darkness of night settles in and there seems to be no civilization for miles. You're about to pull over when you hit a deer. Hysterical yet unharmed, and your car rendered useless, you open the door and climb out. Three items are on your passenger seat, you grab one with every intent to get the others, when you smell smoke and realize the car is about to blow. You run for cover and plug your ears as car debris rockets into the air.

The three items were your gun, wallet, and cell phone. Which did you grab first by default, and how come?

message 8434: by johanna (jo), soliloquist. (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 11500 comments Mod
Firstly: IS THE DEER OKAY?!
I guess if I was in that situation it would be the phone? There would be no reason to pick up the gun; I'm not going to shoot the deer.

TTPBM: For a reason I cannot disclose, you find yourself under pressure to escape your current residence and traverse the country for an unknown number of days. You may take with you only five things, in addition to the clothes you are wearing and any other medication or essentials, because essentials are boring.

(Why would I judge you for having a sonic screwdriver o__O That is the coolest thing ever. Which Doctor?)

Also counting my Bible as an essential, I guess I'd take my laptop, my Sherlock Holmes collection, my LOTR box set, my iPod (&headphones. They count as one), and a folder of random writings&fresh paper.

TTPBM: If you didn't have internet connection right now, what would you be doing?
