TTPBM: any Easter traditions?

message 8307: by johanna (jo), soliloquist. (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 11500 comments Mod
We get an easter egg each, and there's a special service on the Sunday, (today) and USUALLY we're at a camp, but this year we're at home. :P

TTPBM: You?

message 8308: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, there is things at the church all week leading up to Easter. For my family, we color eggs on Saturday. And Sunday we have a big breakfast with eggs, ham, waffles, cinnamon buns, pineapple, and kiwi. We still put baskets out overnight, though it is more of us giving each other stuff rather than the Easter bunny now that we are older.

And this year, even though it is in no way the traditional dessert, I am making Brownie Pudding Cake. I have been craving it since the Friday after Ash Wednesday. So yeah....

TTPBM: Visiting extended family this Easter?

(I still do a double take when you 'Mericans say you eat kiwis o_O)

Whoa! That's fantastic:D Sounds really special. :)

Naw, but my cousin's coming to the camp I'm going on tomorrow, soooo. Technically. xD

TTPBM: How many cousins do you have?

message 8310: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 19, 2014 06:53PM) (new)

I would never eat you Jo! :P What do you call the fruit then?

How many cousins? Too many to count! ummmm, on my mom's side 8. I think. And that includs the new baby. And on my dad's side 10ish? Maybe? Or more. And I have second cousins. I will not even try counting those!
Cousins vary in age from way older than me (20s and 30s) to newborn. Second cousins are all younger, but go from just a few years younger to a 4 year-old.

TTPBM: you?

message 8311: by johanna (jo), soliloquist. (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) | 11500 comments Mod
Kiwi fruit. Here kiwis are either people or endangered birds, neither of which I recommend eating. xD

Oh, nice! :DD Similar number, then. I have 19 in all, I think. 7 on my mum's side (the younger ones; my age) and the rest on my dad's, who are all older than us and have kids. xD I have lots of second cousins and first cousins once removed, too. :)

TTPBM: Last website other than GR you visited?

TTPBM: R2-D2 or a friendly Dalek bearing tea?

message 8328: by mels (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 10006 comments Mod
R2-D2. I as of yet have not encountered the Dalek species.

Same?

message 8329: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Dalek, sorry Mel.

TTPBM: Princess Leia or Rose Tyler?

message 8330: by mels (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 10006 comments Mod
Princess Leia. Rose has not as of yet reached the character development that Jo promises me is coming.

Same?

message 8331: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Really?? I watched Star Wars when I was pretty little and Leia was the first non-cartoon-animated woman I saw who stood up for herself/didn't do the damsel in distress/saved herself/ect so she has that special place. Rose, well, Rose is Rose and how do you expect me to pick between the two? They are so different yet the same.

TTPBM: Last book you read? Would you recommend it?

message 8332: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Last book I read was UnWholly however I would recommend you read the series starting with book 1: Unwind

Same?

message 8333: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 23, 2014 08:05AM) (new)

Last book I read was The Mark of the Dragonfly. Positively gorgeous cover! (more gorgeous IRL than on here) I would recommend it for middle grade readers. It was a little below my level, but it was still overall a good read.

TTBMP what was the last book you read that you would not recommend?

message 8334: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Ummmm, I actually haven't read anything truly bad in a long time.....

Same?

message 8335: by Briana (new)

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
None that I can really think of... I mean, there was this one that had some stuff in it that I didn't exactly enjoy, but other than that I can't really think of any other ones besides some school books that I thought were boring.

TTPBM: Last book that you read that you would recommend?

message 8336: by MJ (last edited Apr 29, 2014 05:20PM) (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Actually, three of them. The Lunar Chronicles books by Marissa Meyer. SO good, and no language, or sexual stuff... I HIGHLY recommend it.

TTPBM: Favorite series at the moment?
