TTPBM: What was your first fandom?

message 6802: by Irene (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Irene wrote: "I don't do fandoms either...........

(Sorry, I'll quit doing the fangirl thing :P) Herione? Hmmm.... Kat from Heist Society

TTPBM: What is one thing that most people don't know about you?

message 6804: by [deleted user] (new)

I have 15 pillows on my bed, and no stuffed animals.

TTPBM: The weirdest dream you've had that you can remember.

message 6805: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) I'd rather not scare anyone...my dreams are highly vivid and most of the time my business only :)

TTPBM: Likes to take pictures?

message 6806: by MJ (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Yes. :) (I TOTALLY agree with you on the dream thing.)

TTPBM: Likes to eat peanut butter?

message 6807: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Yes! Cleaning out the peanut butter jar is great, especially if I have a nice crispy apple to eat with it :)

TTPBM: Likes to cook?

message 6808: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Well enough. Mostly sweet stuff and things that involve chocolate, but I can do savory when I need to. ^_^

TTPBM: Hey, you. Yeah, you. You're gorgeous. Stay sassy.

message 6809: by [deleted user] (new)

Ooookay...*inches away slowly*

TTPBM: Quick: invent a female character. Describe her looks and personality. Give her a random name.

message 6810: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) ;) Thank-you Eris

TTPBM: Favorite quote?

message 6811: by MJ (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Gee, thanks!!! :D

TTPBM: Daydreamer?

message 6812: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Yay, I gets three!

a) Brunette, troubled past, inventive, tempted by murder, resists, has a long scar going across her face; her name is Charlotte.

Favorite quote? "There are no great men. Only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstance to meet." - Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr.

Yes, I am a daydreamer.

TTPBM: Light side Jedi, dark side Jedi, light side Sith, or dark side Sith?

message 6813: by MJ (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) I don't do Star Wars....so---Timelord!

TTPBM: Which would you rather be? Elf, dwarf, or wizard?

message 6814: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments i think dwarf. Tall though I may be, I've always felt an affinity for them.

TTPBM: What color are your eyes?

message 6815: by [deleted user] (new)

Greenish hazelish. My glasses drown them out =P

TTPBM: Write a super short, 1-paragraph scene that could hook a reader on a story. Completely made up by you!

message 6816: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Vidya Kaur had always pictured crashing in her starship to be a little more dramatic. The Monitor was not an obliging vessel.

"Maybe some fire? Sparks exploding from the console? Me strapped to the captain's chair, screaming pledges of undying devotion as we plummet like fallen angels! Is that too much to ask for? Why can't you be more considerate, Monny?" Vidya slapped a ventilation pipe in the engine room and it spat a hiss of air into her face. She absent-mindedly rubbed the condensation with the end of her thigh-length braid. "No need to be temperamental, I was just asking."

TTPBM: RPG, FPS, or MMORPG?

message 6817: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments Yeah, it would, but you see, I'm not into other world fantasy stuff, you know, other than the LOTR, but it sounds good.

TTPBM: are you feeling down?

message 6818: by [deleted user] (new)

Nah, I'm not down at all.

@Chor. NO! THAT'S NOT CRAP!!! It's a wonderful start...and if you continue that story put me on the 1st to read waiting list. =P
@Eris. Hehe. I like where your story is going =). Good ol' Syfy will never fail to please me.

TTPBM: Have you ever cried when reading? In what book?

message 6819: by Zechariah (last edited Aug 27, 2013 07:39PM) (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments Maybe the last Artemis Fowl... I can't remember for sure. Perhaps in The Count of Monte Cristo. Oh wait... I'm a guy, I'm not supposed to admit those things. :P

TTPBM: Are you wanting help with writing? xP

Well, I've got to try my hand at this.

The burning building collapsed in slightly, the roof groaning under the pressure. You as a reader would and probably are, worried right now. Don't worry, I'm safe and standing outside the building, as are my family, and my friends are all sleeping in bed. that was just a hook. You see, smoke alarms are wonderful things, I love them. Saved my life. So yeah, I love 'em. To bits. My family may have been safe, however we'd forgotten my dog inside. I heard it's howls coming as the building started to fall in on itself. And, right now, you're probably expecting me to go in and save it, barely getting out as the building falls down behind me, but I'm a bad person, so I turned around and walked towards the car. Dogs are replaceable, but my beautiful face isn't.

Wow, that was bad. Real bad. Sorry you all had to read that. Bye now.

message 6821: by [deleted user] (new)

Not in particular. I've got RL friends who are helping me with my top secret novel, and a local published author who is helping me with publishing a book I wrote when I was 9/10. I'm covered. I just like reading things people write. Random bursts of creativity. =)

TTPBM: Favorite author?

message 6822: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments Haha, I see. I've often drafted anyone I can and who seem relatively trustworthy, whenever I need assistance. :P Whether that's a great practice or not... idk. :P

I'll go with C.S. Lewis this time around. :P

TTPM: Favorite artist?

message 6823: by [deleted user] (new)

Uhh...musician artist or painter artist? I don't really have one of either. I know! Michelangelo. There we go.

TTPBM: Favorite musical?

message 6824: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) "Dogs are replaceable, but my beautiful face isn't."

I like a morbid narrator. Cheers!

My favorite artist? Hmmmmm... I've always been a big fan of Monet. John Singer Sargent is another favorite. Vermeer! Oh God... *swoons* Mary Cassatt, Van Gogh, Da Vinci... it's a long list.

I have to say that mom is probably my all-time favorite artist, though. ^_^ She's amazing.

TTPBM: Song you would have played at your funeral?

message 6825: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Abby wrote: "Uhh...musician artist or painter artist? I don't really have one of either. I know! Michelangelo. There we go.

TTPBM: Favorite musical?"

The Sound of Music. :D

"How do you solve a problem like Maria?
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?
How do you find a word that means Maria?"

message 6826: by [deleted user] (new)

Well...considering I won't be attending my funeral...

TTPBM: A moment when you wished you could disappear?

message 6827: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) A couple of years ago my brother's computer crashed and my dad fixed it and discovered he'd been playing video games on it. I'd been complicit in the game playing, so we both got the yelling, lectures, and accusations of a lifetime. You don't want to see my dad when he's angry. Games are a touchy subject in my family. I really wanted to not be in my house that day. It was horrid. :/ Nasty memory.

TTPBM: What book would you live in?

message 6828: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I'd want to live in the books by my favorite author, Bryan Davis. I'd want to live in his series: Dragons in Our Midst, Oracles of Fire, and Children of the Bard. Each of them has a bit of character carry-over, so I sort of mush them together as one series in my brain.
Don't get me started on those books. I will fangirl for hours.

Okay, well, gotta go to bed now.

TTPBM: You could spend a day with three fictional characters from three different books/series. Who would they be?

The Sound of Music. :D

"How do you solve a p..."

Yay! The Sound of Music, gah, you're wonderful, Eris <3 :D You have brilliant taste, if I may say so.

@Abby: Bilbo Baggins, Sherlock Holmes, and, uh, (GAH, WHY THREE?) I'd say Loki but he's from the films :P
Watson, then?

TTPBM: If you could have a pet from any book or film that you have watched/read, who would you choose? E.g., Toto from The Wizard or Oz.

message 6830: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) ((Loki is from the comics, so you could still have your wish. ^_^))

Saphira from Eragon, just because I've always wanted a dragon.

TTPBM: Earth, fire, water, or air?

message 6831: by [deleted user] (new)

Air.

TTPBM: Favorite season?

message 6832: by Zechariah (last edited Aug 28, 2013 10:21AM) (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments Fall probably. But I like all the seasons.
TTPBM: Favorite animal?

message 6833: by Marlene (last edited Aug 28, 2013 10:33AM) (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) I have five. I can't choose between them!

Pigs, bats, jellyfish, worms, and ravens. ^_^

TTPBM: What was the last thing you ate?

message 6834: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Mars Attacks. I hid behind the couch while watching it, but now I see the satire and humor in it. It's hysterical.

TTPBM: Die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain?

message 6835: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) "After all this time?"

TTPBM: Who is your Doctor?

message 6836: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Lady Kasta from Graceling (you never said it had to be real :) )

TTPBM: Math or science?

message 6837: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments Science

TTPBM: Hot or Cold?

message 6838: by MJ (new)

MJ Woody (harpsickhord) Cold

TTPBM: What tv show do you want to start watching, but haven't yet? (OUAT for me)

message 6839: by [deleted user] (new)

Fringe...sort of. I've seen multiple episodes, but I haven't officially started watching it consistently.

TTPBM: Hike in the mountains or swim in the ocean?

message 6840: by Kari (new)

Kari | 4641 comments Ohhhh, that's hard. Probably a hike in the mountains. Depends on the weather though :).

TTPBM: camping or staying at a hotel?

message 6841: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Hotel.

TTPBM: Floating downriver or kayaking?

message 6842: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 28, 2013 03:09PM) (new)

Unless there is an RV...hotel. Definitely hotel. Preferably one with free breakfast.
Edit: @Elevetha. Kayaking.

TTPBM: Have a 3-hour party with all of your friends or a sleepover with 2 of you're closest friends?

message 6843: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments Sleepover. Definitetly sleepover. Unless the party is you guys. then party.

TTPBM: has better friends on GR then RL.

message 6844: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry, but no. My RL friends are totally and completely awesome. Except, I have a GR friend who is also a RL friend....and she's like, one of my best friends. Hmmm.

TTPBM: You're favorite character qualities in a story? The kind that makes them you're favorite character and the book you're favorite book?

message 6845: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments I think it's awesome when a character starts from humble beginnings and becomes a better person throughout the series. Or when they start of high and mighty, and then discover they can't do everything themselves and become more humble or at least more respectable (e.g. Inheritance Cycle [1st example]/ Artemis Fowl [2nd example]).

I love all sorts of books. Hard to pick just one. :P

TTPBM: Tolkien or C.S. Lewis?

message 6846: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Um. That is like asking me which parent I like better. Or which half of my body I prefer. It's...no. Just no.

TTPBM: Eoin Colfer or Rick Riordan?

message 6847: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Toss up? I don't really know/care enough about either.

TTPBM: Jane Austen or Charles Dickens?

message 6848: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Garrus Vakarian. I cried twice for him in the space of an hour. That was tough.

TTPBM: Song that made you cry?

message 6849: by Marlene (last edited Aug 28, 2013 08:48PM) (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) EDIT: Crud, I thought you said "last" not "first"! My bad.

The first time I cried for a character was... Aslan. Definitely Aslan.

message 6850: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments I won't take less than your love at my Grandpa's funeral. They played it at his and my Grandma's 50th anniversary a few years back, and it was tough.

TTPBM: Do you have all your grandparents?
