Pride and Prejudice
question
why everyone wants a mr. Darcy why not Bingley?

I always want a mr. Darcy too but then I thought Bingley is not that bad , just easily swayed . Everyone wants a guy who was initially proud and haughty?

I think Bingley is better as I perfer the easy going man. But I don't think it is a good thing for a man to be affected by his friend's opinion to that extent, how could you live with such a man, he can leave you in a matter of a day!!
and about Darcy I don't like that kind of men who I can hardly talk to,but he is so sensible , so faithful in his love and wasn't effected by his aunt's opinion.

I'd prefer Bingley myself. Austen was a product of her generation: in spite of her romantic principles, her happy endings always involved money. If Darcy wasn't horribly rich, his lack of social ease would not have been so well-tolerated. A man who can say something gracious, even in an awkward moment, wins my admiration any day.
