Hello all :). So I read this book when I was about 9 and I remember it was one of the best I'd ever read and I'd really love to read it again but its not very well known.. here's what I remember about it:

- The main character was an otter who lives with lots of other otters but then winds up in a major city where there are no people.
- There's also a cool bear. And an evil lizard who can't talk but is just really evil.
- Every chapter, it switches between a graphic novel format and a standard book format.
- All of the illustrations were done in black and blue ink.
- At one point they're all inside a really high mountain and some gas makes all of them go crazy and then comatose.. except for the otter.
- But another part takes place in a sewer

I will be amazed if anyone replies haha so if you know anything about it thank you so much xx

It has a chipmunk as a main character, however. He does meet a bear and a lizard.
