Ed,Your second plan looks good. When you have a moment, you might want to correct your 20-year span to 1929-1948 in order to include Steve Martin's 1945 birth-year.
Cory,Your second plan will also be fine as soon as you correct the typo on the pub. year for Gods Behaving Badly (2007, not 2008).

No worries! Strike through does not show up on the android app, so apparently I guessed wrong :)
The substitution is fine.

Done, thanks!

Done.
Do I need to update my plan once I decide which book I'm reading/which year I'm skipping where I have some spares? Just wondering since I've hit the first year where I have two options on my approved plan.

Okay, I'll make sure to do that before I post my next few books. Should I make a new post or is just striking out the ones I'm not using on my current post good enough since it's been approved?

I am thinking of reading Me Before You for one of the books in the sub challenge and I thought the birth date of the author was 1969. A reader posted in the completed thread and it says the birth year is 1975? Which birth year is correct?

Ah heck, I did review your revised list, as well as Jama's, a few days back and forgot to give you both a thumbs up.

Anika - your plan looks fine.Ed, in plan #3 please substitute another book for Mexican White Boy -- it is shelved as YA and does not have a Lexile score, so unfortunately it does not qualify for the 15-point tasks.

ok...replaced with 2013- Stay Where You Are and Then Leave by John Boyne; born 1971, lexile 880
I just edited my plan--was not feeling Pygmy at this time. Let me know if adjustment is fine before I start again.
Ed, Thanks, plan #3 is good to go.
Tanya,
I prefer that changes to an approved plan be posted in a new post, as it's easier for me to check the changes. That said, thank you for making it so easy to see what you changed in the edited post! Your revision works.
Tanya wrote: "I just edited my plan--was not feeling Pygmy at this time. Let me know if adjustment is fine before I start again."I just finished Pygmy and it was a slog. Don't bother with it. I wish I'd just quit, but it fit so nicely in my plan that I kept on with it.
Katy, you're good to go on your most recent plan. I don't know whether Liz will have time to update the approval post - her life has gotten a bit hectic.

So I've run into a bit of trouble with the last book in my original plan. I checked it for YA and saw that it was not shelved at BPL at all, so not a problem. However, it turns out that this book was published both as Noughts & Crosses (what I searched) and Naughts & Crosses, which IS shelved as YA in BPL and doesn't have a high enough Lexile. So, I'll need to switch it out -- I think if I cross that off the list and replace it with Fingersmith by Sarah Waters (published 2002, author born 1966) that should work fine without creating any additional problems. Is this ok? Should I update my post in the other thread?
That will be fine, Katy. It would be helpful if you would edit your plan, and thank you. (And I hope you enjoy Fingersmith - I liked it!)

You're substituting Secret River for Sense of Ending?
If so, that is fine."
Hi Liz, my substitution is the other way round, ie [book:The Sense of an Ending|107..."
Looking at this again, I think I may have misinterpreted your message 96, and we are actually saying the same thing.
To clarify..... I am NOT going to read The Secret River. Instead, I AM going to read The Sense of an Ending.
I will assume this is ok, unless you tell me otherwise. Sorry for any confusion.
