Discussion questions over middle of chapter five.
1. Srulik is an eight-year-old boy living on his own in the woods hiding from German soldiers and police, but will he be able to take care of himself forever? Will he be able to hide from the German soldiers and police?
2. Srulik was offered a job working out in a barn for a family and the man locked him in the barn, and then he left, Srulik panicked. The women heard him franticly yell. Do you think the man was going to get police because he figured Srulik was Jewish? Wouldn’t the lady get into trouble with police or her husband for letting him out and run away?
3.Now that Srulik is going to live on a farm and wok for new people do you think that he will trust them after what happened the last time? Do you think he will ever see the boys again he met in the woods? Where would he meet the boys again and what would be the reason?
