The book is about a widow that moves to Tulsa Oklahoma or is that area from Florida after her military husband dies. She has a neighbor named Cal, who owns a dog. She becomes friends with another widow in town, who I believe works at the salon in town. The main character knows how to shoot a gun and the community thinks she's weird because of it. She purchases a gun at a local gun show. The community doesn't like her neighbor Cal, or they are scared of him. In the middle of the book bones are found on his property. At the end you find out that his land her an importance to Native American history and people are trying to kill Cal and the main character. From what I can remember I believe the cover is green with a red or pink convertible on it.
