So where do you think Jonas lives, in The Giver. A friend of mine, who LOVES Sci-Fi, states that they might be living in the past. Yeah it sounds weird at first, but if you think about it, it makes sense. While all the others, as in people moved on into the future, the people in The Giver stayed in the past. Any thoughts?
I kind of doubt that. The society has a lot of memories, as if the normal time was before. And they do have technology, such as the Release stuff.
And even if there's nothing to disprove that, we have no reason to believe it. I mean, they could technically be some middle schooler's computer simulation too, but that's so unlikely we don't consider it.
