Please feel free to join Mimi and I as we read Clockwork Angel! This is the first in the Infernal Devices series, which is a prequel trilogy to the Mortal Instruments series.

Yay I found the thread! I'm up to chapter eight so I'm hoping to read some more tonight. I'm reading quite slowly though because I have a bunch of work on.
I just finished the prologue last night, I was too tired to read any more, but I can fly through YA books, so don't worry!
Ive already read it and im not going to give you any spoilers but i can tell you that you are going to love this series

This is actually a reread for me. I read Clockwork Angel a couple of years ago and now I want to finish the series but I can't remember what happened!
So I'm on page 130, Chapter 6. I'm catching up! I really love it so far, Will is just perfect, and I literally burst out laughing at the dinner scene. Jem is cool, he reminds me of Magnus Bane from TMI. What are you at? How are you liking it?
One of the things i LOVE about Cassandra Clare's books is the language she uses. It's so natural and sooo beautiful and it suits the story perfectly.

Yes! I'm going to read Clockwork Prince as soon as it comes from the library. Although I have to say, the first book is usually the best, and... it always seems to go downhill. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

I saw your 'spoilers', and you have some interesting thoughts! I certainly wasn't being that thoughtful about the plot at that part! :) I don't really see Tessa as Hermione, because I picture Hermione as a slightly short, bushy headed teenager, whereas Tessa in my mind is a thin, kind of sallow person with long dark hair. Will IS annoying, but he can be funny sometimes. Jem's little problem is interesting, and I really wanted to know more about him once it was revealed, but he sadly took a bit of a backseat to the story. :(
I finally finished last night! *SPOILERS AHEAD*
Wow it took a dramatic turn in the last few chapters! Nate was so vile..... I'm curious about what exactly Tessa is, is she a warlock? Or half a warlock half something else? It's quite interesting. Will is horrible and I want to know his tragic backstory that has been whacked over my head throughout the story. And I'm curious about Jem as well.
Oh and I felt so bad for Sophie!
