The gypsy fair comes to a mining town and one night a young gypsy woman is set upon by the local town boys and is raped. The story the book is based upon comes to her rescue. After many years the man comes and takes her from her life of hardship in the mining town and they have two sons together. One son is good and the other is wild. The wild one kills his father in a fight one night and the more gentle one owns up and goes to prison for it. The next book is about the sons and I would love to read that. Thanks in advance

I don't know when it was published. In the last decade would be a guess. I read it as a paperback. I don't know about the author. Thanks

Still hoping to find this book. I also remember the female in the book lost her Mother and had to help raise her brothers. One died as a baby and she lost her two older brothers in the war. They lived in a mining town and it was hard to find work. The gypsy man she married had an unusual name that I wish I could remember, like Roman or Blaze???? They had two sons together and he became a Boxer and used to travel around to boxing matches. Hope this helps. Thanks
