I started reading this book when I was deployed for the military overseas in 2009. I read the first chapter but never finished.

The book was about this girl who was struggling and quite possibly lived in a rural area maybe on a farm.

I think the girl's name was something like Amelie and the title of the book was the same as her name. The book was also green and maybe around 200 plus pages.
