What do we think about the ending with Rhysand? [Spoilers]

It's dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power.
I see you in there, "passion." ;)

The second book seems like it's gonna be awesome *_* "dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power"?! This book needs to come out faster!

So are we thinking who she will decide to be with?!!! This blurb was carefully worded for sure.

So are we thinking who she will decide to be with?!!! This blurb was carefully worded for sure."
It could also mean she decides to choose no one. I'm never wholly satisfied with that kind of ending but it's a possibility.

"Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court--but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people."
Everyone has already guessed that. Feyre is going to deal with what she did to the two fae.
I just hope it's not going to be like Juliette in Shatter Me, it was a little bit overwhelming.
"Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power"
Here, I have a couple of theories I want to share :
- "Feared Night Court" : I'm going to love this. I'm expecting danger and mysteries in the Night Court.
- "Its dark web of politics" : That means that there will probably be assassinations, betrayals and a lot of power.
What if Rhys and Azriel are in competition ? I think we will have a real complex relationship between these bothers (If we assume they are brothers)
- "Passion" :
Oh guys, you lost me here.
I'm thinking about forbidden feelings, sexual tension, flying and hell, a cabin in the mountain.
"A greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it."
Everyone is obviously thinking about the king of Hybern. But we knew in the first book that he was already a threat. Maybe it's something else we are missing ?
"But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts"
Harrowing means difficult, right ?
I agree with you about the stars theory, it makes sense but why choosing a word such as "Harrowing" ? What if her magic has a price ?
I read an interesting theory last day about power. What if is like Harry Potter when the hat chooses the perfect house for you ? What if the power of Feyre are exclusively belong to the Night Court and therefor she is somehow linked to it land ?
"Heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future - and the future of a world cleaved in two."
Choice.
I don't know why I have this feeling that the choice she is going to make at the end will break my heart into pieces.

I am 10000% here for this.
What if is like Harry Potter when the hat chooses the perfect house for you ? What if the power of Feyre are exclusively belong to the Night Court and therefor she is somehow linked to it land ?
I thought this too. And didn't Lucien say something to Rhysand like "you have no power here" when he was in the spring court? But we know Rhysand has SOME power in other courts, as he used his powers in Spring and under the mountain.
What if Feyre - being a High Fae - can't use her powers entirely unless she's in the court the powers are linked to? So she winds up spending more time in the night court, because that's where she can use them at her fullest? I really, really think she's going to have powers linked to the night court.
I also think there's a link to starlight. Way too many references for there not to be. The question is how can she use stars or starlight. Unless it's like Alina in S&B where she manipulates light? Maybe moon light in particular?

That's a good theory. I had actually wondered if Rhysand could see the future, but predicting the future would be something similar to Rhysand's powers of the mind AKA Night Court powers.

So if she is seeing into the future in dreams, for it to be harrowing she must be seeing some super distressing scenes."
Oh yeees, now the word Harrowing maks sense. Oh no, poor thing, maybe she will see the distruction of Prythian and the human world, visions where Lucien Tam and Rhys are dying ..
EDIT : That can also explain how Nesta is coming back in the story. I think her first vision will be about her sisters dying, or their home burning, Feyre will think it's true so she will go check on them and eventually take them with her to protecte them, what do you think ?

This is from Heir of Fire:
"The Fae had mates: an unbreakable bond, deeper than marriage, that lasted beyond death."
That lasted beyond death.
I'm about 99% sure now that the reason Feyre was "alive" and seeing things through Rhysand at the end was because of the mate bond between them. Since it lasts beyond death.

I find it strange how two different series are kind of giving hints to each other even when there are in to different worlds."
SJM said that they were in the same mega verse so it would be possible to use wyrdkeys to go to Prythian.

Yes! OMG!! YES!!! It makes sense now!!
Also, kinda to the side but what about Lyria O-O Rowan's mate? Was she not truly his mate then?

@ Laura. That's certainly interesting. But because Maas said you can mate again, I don't know if one soul would stay with their mate until they died. But maybe they stay with that person only a little while after death, before fading away.

The Hades/Persephone/Demeter thing is the center of the story, but I think it's important to point out that while Persephone is in the Un..."
I know Greek mythology just about backwards and forwards and I don't know that particular bit about the Persephone tale. Despoina (Despina is a moon of Neptune) is a daughter of Demeter and Poseidon but as far as I know that story has nothing to do with Persephone's. Because Greece doesn't have much of a winter (being in the Mediterranean) there's not exactly a god or goddess of winter per se. Boreas is the God of the North Wind and is associated with winter. His daughter Khione is the goddess of snow. Ultimately though, Demeter is held responsible for winter since she won't allow crops and other plants to grow while Persephone remains in the Underworld. What was your source for Despoina's story?

Oh! Do you guys think it's possible that what shocked Rhys was him being in Feyre and feeling her power? Like what happened in QoS when Aelin felt like a thread/ wind barrelled into her from Rowan, letting her feel what it would be like to be in his body; she felt how much power and strength he had but also, it was odd for it to happen, even Rowan seemed like he had no clue why it happened.
So, what if while Rhys was leaving, he for a brief moment felt her power barrel into him and he felt what it was like, to be in her body (and probably her power) which shocked him cause it wasn't normal, so he fled.

I feel like Maas would do something different than what she's already done in her other series. I know they take place in the same megaverse but it seems a bit like lazy writing if she were to have almost the same incident happen in two different series.

It's hard to tell because we haven't been in a POV that features a mate bond yet. (view spoiler)

I get that the rules would be more or less the same but the situation as it was described would have been much too similar between the two series. That's the point I was trying to drive at.

This is my own conjured up conspiracy theory. Please take/ read it with a grain of salt.

@ Laura. You're right. It doesn't necessarily have to be romantic. I will be curious if they do turn out to be mates as well. Lol they just need to get married and they'll be about as bonded as you can be.
Since carranum is a play on "soul mate" (Maas confirmed that), then I'm also curious if the powers between carranum are similar to that of mates. Can mates share powers? Can they sense when the other is near/injured/etc.

what is the evidence?????????????

Exactly!! It's not her writing style to be so blatant.
Sara wrote: "I was a bit disappointed in Feyre's and Tamlin's reunion after all she did for him. He first dealt with the Lords before showing his true love for her. I think that its going to be something that w..."
I was disappointed too!! I thought he was gonna first deal with how she was fairing after the trials first but instead he dealt with the Lords; I was actually not okay with that :( but pragmatically speaking it makes sense but that scene made me feel so bad for her...she went through so much, she's feeling so broken, yet he puts her aside "for the good of all". Couldn't he have assigned all of that to Lucien?
I can see that happening :( he'll probably spend less and less time with her, especially when she needs him, and that'll be the cause of her strengthening her bond with Rhys and drifting away from him.

The issue will be how said leader handles their love life. Are they the type that - as Laura mentioned - wants their partner to be waiting safely at home? Or will they want them on the battle field with them? You look at Aelin and Rowan and if they end up by some chance marrying, you know they would both be battling together. Aelin isn't the "wait at home while my love fights" type of person. I don't think Feyre is either.
Laura, you are spot on. I also think Feyre was fine to play damsel because she knew so little of what was actually going on. Now she knows the stakes, knows the curse, knows about Hybern, and she's going to learn more at the Night Court. She's going to want to be involved; not sit at home and let the guys handle it. And if Rhys involves her and Tamlin doesn't, there's going to be issues.

I think Rhys will teach her to fly, and read, so it's going to be some really entertaining scenes.

OR, he can be mocking as usaul and tell her to read some sentences like : "Rhys is the best High Lord Ever" or "Tamlin is annoying". It would be so funnyy

But seriously, WHERE IS THE TITLE?! Why does Sarah's team wait forever to release these things? Six of Crows just came out and we already know the second book's title.

OR, he can be mocking as usaul and..."
I figured he would bring up the trial in a mocking way, so mocking all around.

I liked Rys more than Tam but I hope there is no love triangle that would kill me..
