I've got my Library copy. It's due back on the 7th, so I'm all for starting it on December 1st, if that's ok with you?
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Sounds good"Awesome! I've got it marked on my list then!
Next book is going to be tricky for me...my local library canceled their orders for it! I'll have to interlibrary request it near mid month.
Trea if you all the books I have them all. I dont know if you have an ereader but I can get them to you.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Trea if you all the books I have them all. I dont know if you have an ereader but I can get them to you."I have a Kindle. I got Born of Defiance from the Library, so I'm ready to start it on Tuesday.
Born of Betrayal looks to be in at my local library, so I'm going to request it and see if I get it in time for the January read. Then we have to wait for June to read Born of Legend!
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Well if you want the books I convert what I have into mobi files for you."Thanks, Angie! I'll keep it in mind and let you know!
Hey, Angie! I started this before bed last night, and I couldn't put it down! I finished it, and it's really good, but a bit confusing, as I couldn't figure out who the heck Talyn was supposed to be. It's not a Gen 2 book, but comes across as a Gen 1.5. It also does a little reset of the universe as it goes back in time to prior to the events of Born of Night. Even then, those events are only mentioned in passing. I'm too sleepy to write up a review tonight, but I'll be rating it 4 stars. If it wasn't for all the confusion, I'd give it 5 stars easy!
I started this today. I like it so far. I haven't found it confusing yet so I'll watch out for this to happen.
Oh, I liked this one pretty well, I just was confused as to who Talyn was in the larger fabric of characters. Also, the library got me a copy of Born of Betrayal super quick! I just picked it up today! Would you be willing and able to read it this month too? If not, I totally understand, and will try to renew it for January. I've got it until the 23rd anyway, and might be able to renew it for another 3 weeks after that.
I'm only hundred pages in but I think Talyn is a Hauk because Fain is mentioned. I'm wondering if there are two of them. I'd be up to read Born of Betrayal this month too.

If Betrayal is anything like this one, I'll not be able to put it down and will finish it in a day! Just give me a shout when you want to read it!
What I meant was if there were two Fains. I just finished the book Talyn definitely a Hauk. I think I figured out what the confusing element is Nyk being referred to as a baby and child. If you hadn't read the first book none of the information presented would make sense At all. As far as where this book fits into the universe I believe it falls in at the same time as the first book. I'm just debating what rating to mark this as. Can we start the next book next week or later? I've got some review books I need to read.

Just give me a shout and let me know when you think you can start it. We can even push it until the week of the 14th if you want.

Trea~you're gonna kill me. Started and finished this one today. I could not put it down it was that good.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Trea~you're gonna kill me. Started and finished this one today. I could not put it down it was that good."*laughs* I kinda figured that might happen for me after Talyn's book! No worries, I'll read it this weekend and post my thoughts!
Look at it this way, I finished Prodigy before you did, I think, so that makes it all square!
It took me a few days, but I finished this finally this morning. To me, it was just good, not awesome as I had hoped. Definite nail biter though, with the events in this one, but I just didn't like Fain as a hero. It was interesting, though, to read everything that was going on after the events of Talyn's book!
Just a heads up to folks, Angie and I will be reading the new release in about a week or so, if anyone of the old group is up for joining us!
Friday works for me...do you want to read this in blocks of say 7 chapters, since it is such a thick book?
I started this one this morning, but I'm only going to read the first 7 chapters. All I have to say right now is OMG!!! Dagger's identity...I never imagined that she'd do HIS story!!!
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Daily blocks of 7 chapters."Yup, read the prologue and through chapter 6. Bookmark is sitting at the start of chapter 7.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "I'm so heart broken at how [spoilers removed]"I know! I've cried several times already over him! I swear, I've never done the whole "Book Boyfriend" thing, but he makes me want to!
What did you think of the twist that she did making this book about HIM? I was not expecting that at all! I thought he'd just fade into obscurity, not end up like this!
I hoped he'd die in a whole somewhere. But seeing him at he end of the last book blew me away with all of his changes. I really didn't the book blurb to closely. I just knew I wanted to read it.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "It was one of useless knowledge things I found to be interesting."(Grins) Sometimes useless knowledge DOES come in handy!
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Yes it does. My hubby is a pro at useless knowledge stuff."*laughs* So is mine!
Thanks for the invite Angie!! I'm listening to this book and according to their screwy chapter system...I'm on chapter 13. I've put it down for right now as I'm listening to
. Doing only 7 chapters a day will work for me as I have so many other new books I want to get to.
When I first started this I thought, it's just like Styxx!! Poor bad guy that's misunderstood.
What chapter are you guys on??
I got up fairly early for me: as in when my hubby got up for work, because it was getting good and I wanted to finish it up! Read for two hours and finally finished it! I loved it! Totally the best one to date, and worth the library fine for a late return!
Hey, Angie, got a planning question for you. Do we want to break this up into smaller chunks, like 3-4 chapters a day, or do we want to read it all in one go? I'm between books at the moment, but am also really behind in my monthly reading, so I could go either way. (I am leaning towards 3 chapters a day, simply because with the prologue and epilogue it works out to 18 chapters in the book.)
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "That's fine with me Trea! I only got to read about 3 chapters so far. So this works for me."I'd finished through Chapter 2 last night so I think I am on pace with you!
Bastien's family are such complete jerks, and I really HATE Alura!
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "I hate Alura as well. Bastien's family are assholes."Agreed! This seems to be re-hashing a lot of the previous three books, just from Bastien's point of view, and I'm really not liking that.
Rehashing is tying up missing pieces for me honestly. I find it necessary to moving the plot forward. I'm finished with the book.
Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ wrote: "Rehashing is tying up missing pieces for me honestly. I find it necessary to moving the plot forward. I'm finished with the book."Yeah, so am I. On one hand, I couldn't put it down, but on the other hand it was annoying me.
