Born of Betrayal
Now decades later, everything has changed. He's built a new life out of the ashes of his old, and he's vowed to never let anything threaten his loved ones again.
But when old enemies align themselves with new ones, he's caught in the middle ...more
This is finally Fain's book, and Kenyon primed us well with Talyn's story in the last installment. We've seen the fallout from Fain's decision to leave Galene all those years ago. Her social s ...more

This is game changing book we have been expecting for a while - and it's direct sequel of Born of Defiance, even though it happens much much later - but events and people who are in this book are closely related to the BoD. There is also a conclusion to Talyn and Felicia's story (which is everything I had ever wanted) and these two books are best to be read one after another as soon as possible because they form a single story.
So far, this is my my absolute favorite book ...more
Why, oh why do we have to wait!
Leaving Galene Batur was one of the hardest things Fain Hauk has had to do, and he’s had to do a lot. But, he had no choice, it was either break of their betrothal and his brother lives, or marry Galene and his brother dies. However, he had no idea the consequences of his decision until he sees her again…with the son he never knew even existed. Neither Galene or Fain’s life has been easy in the years since their last disastrous meeting, but The League is attacking and they must put asi ...more

This was a pretty good installment of the League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. There is tons of action, romance, and more. Definitely check this series out if you like all I have stated ...more
Another good book in the League series. Glad to finally read Fain and Galene's story. Also glad that Fain found out that Talyn was his son. Nice to see all the other characters back. Hope Fain and Galene have a long and happy life together. Also hope they will be able to rescue Jullien and get Andaria back. Can't wait to read Born of Legend!!!
I have read all the books in this series. However, this one, with its cast of thousands, was so confusing, I could not finish. So many characters, relationships, places made it absolutely not understandable. I will return this one.

This was the story that held you through thick thin, ups downs, ins outs, and all the in between. I loved every minute of this read the pain, the hurt, the guilt, the sacrifice, the redemption, and the love. Fain got his story and it was great to have it fall on the heels of Born of Defiance. It would not have had the impact if it had come before.
The fight and sacrifice for family has been what he has lived and breathed for years. Now, his time has com ...more

I loved this book so much! Fain and Galene's story was decades in the making and when they reconnect it's explosive. Their story is full of action, danger, emotion, heartache and romance. Sherrilyn Kenyon writes in a way that desc
I just didn’t gel with this book. I enjoyed reading it, but all of the crazy names and different languages had me constantly re-reading parts to properly digest what was happening. I found that very frustrating.
Another thing that had me scratching my head was the assumption that there were so many rules and regulations to their existence in this strange world they they had to adhere to for their survival, and yet every single one of these characters at one time or another, pretty much ...more

This was an amazing read! I absolutely loved it but some aspects I could have done without.
I loved both main characters because they had such a broad range of emotions and just so real. The first thought Galene Batur, our heroine, has when seeing Fain Hauk for the first time in years she attempts to take him out. And she very well would have if not for his body armor. This response was triggered by his absolute abandonment and humiliation of her when they were still in school ...more

I really like this book. I love this series. It is better, to me than watching television. Plot twists and turns, tunes me in to whatever emotions are happening at whatever page I happen to be on.
