PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO YOUR FELLOW JAMES MASON MEMBERS!
Thank you so much Rick for the invitation. It was very kind of you. Hello guys! My name is Italiby, but you can all call me Libby for short if you'd like to. I'm super excited, I've never done anything like this. I've never owned a computer until this year. It's just hard living on my own and not being able to afford a computer til all my savings came together. I love to read and glad to meet people who enjoy reading as much as I do. :) I hope that you guys are okay with me joining.
Thanks Rick for the invitation. I am an indie author that is finally getting my writings digitally published. I am working on part 2 of my Conjure Man series. Plus because of my disease, Wegener's Granulomatosis, I have been pretty isolated the last eight years.I will read almost anything including the warning labels on cans if I don't have anything else to read. My absolutely favorite genres are hard-boiled detectives and paranormal kick-ass females. If you can mix those two genres then I am in heaven.
Hey, my name is Italiby, but you can call me Libby for short if you wish. Thank you Rick for the invitation. I've never owned a computer before until this year. So I've never done anything like this before. :) I'm just glad to know that thee are people out there that love to read as much as I do. Thanks again Rick, I'm happy to be apart of this group.

Thanks so much for the invite Rick! Looks like a wonderful group of people that have interesting discussions. I love discussing books and ideas. Groups like this save my poor husband's ears!My name is Autumn....I just started a job teaching Literacy to children/adults. I look forward to this career....
I LOVE my dog and all dogs :) and am one of those people that treat my poor dog Comet like he is a person...he actually thinks he is one so maybe it's not so bad. :)
I read anything and everything I can get my hands on. My fave genres are the classics (love the Brontes), Historical fiction/non-fiction, Sci Fi/Fantasy. My least favorite genre are probably mysteries. So many books, so little time!!! It is such a dilemma.
Hi, I've probably already done this, please forgive the broken record if I have. I'm dark fantasy author C.C.Cole of the Gastar Series. I've published two novellas, "Act of Redemption" in 2009, and "Children of Discord" in 2011. They are fast-paced, medieval fantasy, and not romance. Shevata's the lead teen assassin character, and makes the bad guys pay. She travels through the history of the city of Gastar for redemption for her past actions and to re-gain her soul. Two more novellas are upcoming to complete Shevata's journey.

Thank you to Rick for the invite to such an amazing group. A quick intro: I'm Clark Chamberlain, I am an author, and I have just finished writing my first mystery/thriller novel, Loves Deception. I am also a very avid reader and as you can tell from my book shelf my tastes have quite a wide range. Best wishes,

Thanks for the invite. I'm a writer from Virginia, now living in upstate, NY. I have a book of short stories (Women Up On Blocks) and a non-fiction book that I co-authored about my co-author's survival of Siberian exile. Oh, and I'm doing final revisions on a novel.

Hi all. Thank you, Rick, for following me on Twitter and alerting me to this group. My name is Linda and I write as LJ DeLeon and am on Goodreads as LJ DeLeon.I'm a lover of books and since I got my Kindle, I'm finally able to keep hidden just how many I'm buying. Of course, I now buy an Amazon gift card on the first of each month to keep out of bankruptcy.
My reviews are of books that I can give 4 or 5 stars. These are the ones I loved and want to share.

wonderful to have you as a member Linda!
Author LJ DeLeon referred me. I write romance as Elise Dee Beraru and mysteries with Linda Campbell under the pseudonym Alyssa Lyons. There is usually a book in my handbag to read at odd moment. Now that I have a Kindle there are a hundred or so books in my handbag . James Mason as Rupert of Henzau was the only part in the remake of Prisoner of Zenda worth seeing the movie for. Don't think I ever saw him in a bad performance.
I am a displaced Los Angeleno now living in Lynchburg, VA.
When I'm not reading or writing I am a fabric artist. Right now I am hand piecing the outside of a new carrying case for my laptop. It will take something like 1650 1.25 inch hexagons just to get something I can lay the pattern on. The upside: it makes writing mystery novels seem easier.
Glad to be part of this group.

Hey there, everybody. I am a stay-at-home Mom from Texas and an author. I wrote The Vampire's Warden (Book One of the Undead in Brown County series). I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
Thanks for the invite Rick. This group looks lively and can't wait to mingle. My name is Ty Hutchinson. I'm a newbie author at night and an advertising copywriter during the day. I like to tell people that during the day I write about killer calling plans. At night, just the killers.
Anyway I've just released my first action-thriller, Chop Suey. It's a wickedly funny, page turner available in paperback and ebook.
I like to read thrillers/suspense, fantasy, memoirs, chick-lit, urban fantasy, some paranormal and the occasional horror. My favorite authors of all time are James Patterson, Peter Mayle, Sophie Kinsella and Terry Brooks.
Thanks for having me.

Hi Everyone!!I too want to thank Rick for inviting me to join, what a great forum for sharing about books (def my passion!)
My first novel Sherry and Narcotics is just out - you can read more about it & see the reviews at my site:
http://www.ninamariegardner.com
Also nice review recently over at Linus's Blanket http://bit.ly/iCNqLK - also an interview http://bit.ly/iT18cl
*if anyone is interested in a complimentary review copy in exchange for posting a review on Goodreads & Amazon (unless you absolutely despise the book, hehe) please do message me - I have a few remaining copies available- first come first served :-)
As far as my tastes in books & what I like to read, they are pretty wide-ranging, mainly I love a great all-consuming read. Books I read recently in that category include
People Who Eat Darkness: The Fate of Lucie Blackman
one of the BEST true crime books I've read ever-
also loved Jennifer Egan's well-deserved Pulitzer winning A Visit from the Goon Squad a beautiful beautiful book.
Writers who inspire me most include Keats, Fitzgerald, Jean Rhys and contemporary folks like Helen Walsh, Gwendolyn Riley, Donari Braxton & Hillary Raphael.
Thanks again Rick & my best to you all:-)

Okay, I blinked when I saw the number of books Rick has read and wondered if I needed to read half that number first. hey everyone I am Biola Olatunde and proudly Nigerian, Yoruba in fact. I generally like writing about my culture (what else?) but I do enjoy reading good books which I think is what brought me here. Look forward to catching up with the rest of humanity here. Thanks Rick. Looks like I am going to be at home here.
Hello, everyone! When I am not chained to my desk gripping a character's hand as he, she, or Left To The Reader's Imagination To Picture pull me through a dark world of fiction - which I am instructed to write, or, else *- I love to read books. *Meaning that there could be a hatchet, butcher knife, or even a chainsaw involved.

Thanks for the invite Rick. I'm the author of the Book The Traveler's Companion, and I also have a blog at christopherjohnchater.blogspot.com. Looking forward to the James Mason Community. There's a great James Mason impersonation in the movie "Broadway Danny rose" with Woody Allen. Funny stuff.
Thanks for the invite Rick. I am a retired serviceman living in Lincoln in the UK. I flew in the Royal Navy for 10 years before transferring to the RAF where I flew as a navigator in Tornados. In 1996 I was involved in a mid-air collision that left me with a broken neck, fractured skull and associated brain damage, smashed up shoulder, broken ribs and collapsed lung. I was comatose and paralysed from the neck down for a while, but I survived and recovered slowly and today you wouldn't know by looking at me :) I was in hospital for about a year then discharged from the RAF a year after that and moved to teaching flying skills in a flight simulator. That job finished 2 years ago and I am now a house husband and I do a bit of writing to keep me quiet. I am married with 2 children and 3 step children, most of whom have flown the nest. I am an avid but slow reader. I fully immerse myself in any book I'm reading. This has led onto writing as I can 'live' whatever project I'm working on.
One amazing fact: The hero of my first book was involved in a military flying accident complete with head injury, shoulder injury and coma. It was written 3 years BEFORE my own accident (that features in my second book)!!!
Thanks for the invite, Rick! My name is Collin Kelley and I'm the author of the novel Conquering Venus and the forthcoming Remain in Light, both from Vanilla Heart Publishing. Both novels are set in Paris and feature gay protagonists.
If you are so inclined you can read sample chapters from Remain in Light now at www.collinkelley.com
I look forward to interacting with everyone!

Hello everyone,Rick just invited me to join the group last night (thanks!)and when I get home from work and have a bit more time I'll be sure to check it out in more depth. I ready mainly indie authors and run a review blog where I do reviews, interviews, guest blogs, and recently have had some wonderful people give me exclusive coupons to share with my readers for free copies of their work. I am a big fan of fantasy/scifi, but I will give anything a chance as long as I enjoy it.
I am currently reading:
Jabberwocky
Maiden in Light
Windchaser
Feel free to check out my blog for more info.
Have a great day!
Scott
My thanks to Rick for bringing this group to my attention! I'm Ken Isaacson, lawyer and author. My first book (a legal thriller of course), Silent Counsel, was published in hard cover in 2007. Upon its release, it appeared for four consecutive weeks on Amazon's list of Bestselling Legal Thrillers behind only two other titles: John Grisham's The Appeal and Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird.
Kirkus Reviews said "A complex story and heart-pounding climax that will have readers looking forward to Isaacson's next."
For a limited time, you can get Silent Counsel on Kindle or Nook for the promotional price of only $1.99.
Looking forward to discovering what others are reading. Right now, my read is The Fund, H.T. Narea's debut financial thriller.
I guess it is okay to join others in welcoming you counselor.:)) I never went farther than Perry Mason. ...sigh...but will be nice to find a book of yours land in my corner of the world someday soon.
Wow, Counsellor, Amazing that you are in good company with John Grishams book The Appeal and Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. Great to have a lawyer in our midst.
My name is Ed Lynskey. Rick kindly invited me some back to join the James Mason Book Club. I've finished writing one book to promote a new one that's out now. I enjoy reading crime fiction, tending to the noirish and hardboiled although I do like the lighter stuff on occasion. I just finished reading Brian Keene's Ghost Walk and am currently 50 pages into Dennis Lehane's new PI title The Moonlight Mile. That's about it for me.
Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. Just wanted to mention that years after I established a Twitter account, I actually started using it yesterday. I'd love it if you found me over at @KenIsaacson !
