D.A. Metrov (metrov) | 2 comments What an amazing group! I so happy to have met Rick who invited me to join. I'm also very grateful he agreed to review my Steampunk Fantasy Adventure Novel --MACHINE OF GOD chronicles the little-known journey of Leonardo da Vinci’s Macchina Fantastica, the ingenious trade vessel he designed and built for King Louis XI of France which, against all odds, traversed the land, sea, and air between Naples and Paris, only to fall into a pile of ashes within a mile of its destination.

Readers seem to really like it. So far it's averaging 5 star reviews on Amazon. I'm honored and grateful!

Kevin Rodgers | 1 comments Hello everyone! It's an honor to be a member of this group! My name is Kevin Rodgers. I'm a horror/dark fantasy author. I've been writing stories since I was 6 years old. I currently live in Orlando, Florida.

Over the last three years, eight of my short stories have been published in various magazines. The list of stories includes "Stargazers", "Citadel of the New Moon", "Tomahawk Mountain", and "Claustrophobia". My debut novel, CADAVER ISLAND, was published in March 2013 by Pro Se Press. Here is the link to the novel:

Several readers have posted 5-star reviews about CADAVER ISLAND on Amazon. Also, a popular author named Barry Reese recently posted a stellar review about the novel at:

John Tarttelin (souladream) | 4 comments Hello everyone, it's great to be a member of such an enthusiastic group. My name is John Tarttelin and eighteen months ago I started my business SOULADREAM PRODUCTIONS as a writer and photographer. I can recommend Amazon's Createspace platform as I have already used it to produce my book The Real Napoleon -The Untold Story; Zombie; Total Zombie and Five Great Sci-Fi Stories. The paper quality is very high and I recommend the Cambia font which is clear and easy to read at 12 or 14 point. The smaller the point the fewer the pages and least cost:)
Like many of you I find the promoting and the marketing of a book the greatest challenge and I'll admit to not having solved that problem yet. There are so many different e-platforms clamouring for attention that the very choice can be overwhelming. But as Amazon has just acquired Goodreads - it looks like a winner.
I trained to be a history teacher but as well as historical subjects, I write horror, romance, adventure and Sci-fi titles, 30 of which are on Amazon Kindle. They include The Weavers of Time a 199,000 word Viking fantasy; Incubus Gothic - a 175,000 word erotic horror about demonic possession; Soul Survivor - horror; Total Zombie and Filey Brigg, a romance set at Conisbrough castle and on England's beautiful East coast. I look forward to reading more of the fascinating and useful points raised by members.

Doug Bremner (dougbremner) | 14 comments Hello all,

I just came out with a book under my own imprint:

The Fastest Growing Religion on Earth: How Genealogy Captured the Brains and Imaginations of Americans

For millions of Americans, the quest to find one’s ancestors has become an obsession, and for some even a religion. After writing a book about the history of his family, the author realized that half of it was missing, literally. This is the story about how he found the other half, and what he learned along the way about the history and practice of genealogy, his fellow genealogy fanatics, and himself.

The Fastest Growing Religion on Earth How Genealogy Captured the Brains and Imaginations of Americans by Doug Bremner

I will give away free copies for review in any format.

Thanks.

Doug Bremner

Laurence Shames | 8 comments Hi Folks--My name is Laurence Shames, though I go by Larry. I'm a veteran/survivor of the print publishing world, and I've been very fortunate not to need a day job since 1976. This means I've done a helluva lot of writing! Novels, ghosting, non-fiction, screenwriting, magazine work--you name it. The work I've most enjoyed has been a series of 8 novels--soon to be 9--set in Key West, FL., my former home. The working title of the new book is THE BIG SWIM; it's a mystery-comedy-love story with speedboats, some Mafia, a Hollywood connection, and a small dog. I will post release details when I have them. I'd be grateful to have your support and I look forward to some lively exchanges with the group. In the meantime, I hope some of you will have a look at my website, http://www.LaurenceShames.com. Thanks!

Hi Irene--Thanks for the kind words and for your interest in my work. I usually suggest that new readers start with FLORIDA STRAITS, the first book in the Key West series. But if your tastes run to the paranormal you might enjoy THE ANGELS' SHARE, which is partly set in a slightly wacky version of the Afterlife. Love to hear what you think. Good luck with your books!

Wonderful Larry!! Just make sure to let us know!! Supporting fellow members is a key tenet of James Mason Group. Always remembered the scene where Bert's little dog is being threatened and the unflappable Bert tears up.. So touching and really made Bert such a multidimensional character
