Hello hello! My name is Yannis, I'm a Greek fantasy writer who enjoys experimenting and mixing styles of writing. more about me here: www.yanniskarats.com
Also, if you click at the cover below you'll see what Rick, the moderator of this group, had to say about my latest urban fantasy novel The Book of the Forsaken :)
Enjoy your reads!
It's lovely to be invited to join such an elite, fast growing group of book lovers. I'm stoked that Rick invited me and happy to be here. Recently, it's been blogged that I've begun writing in a new genre called Spirit-travel....pretty sure I'm not the first, but maybe one of the latest. My Vicarage Bench series starring (She's Me)the first of 5 books are all plotted around this premise and it's been a blast coming up with this kind if a fresh twist. So if you like humor, conflict and great romance, this genre might be right up your alley. Love to make new friends so if you follow me on twitter @MimiBarbour, I will be happy to follow back.Mimi

Thanks to Rick for the invitation! I'm a lifelong reader and a career (marketing) writer who turned to novels about 10 years ago. I've got two out now, both humorous suspense (think Carl Hiaasen). Super having you here Biil and Dennis!
Dennis- what that an amazing performance! and it was James Mason's third and final Oscar nomination- which he did not win! Hard to believe James Mason never won an Oscar...but not important in the scheme of things as he did not care for Hollywood and all it's pretense.

Thanks for inviting me, Rick! I write historical novels about people in the arts (Monet, Mozart, Shakespeare, etc.)and am a recipient of an American Book Award. CLAUDE & CAMILLE: A NOVEL OF MONET is published by Crown; MARRYING MOZART by Penguin; it will be made into an opera in NYC this December. My web site is http://www.stephaniecowell.com. My first Elizabethan novel, NICHOLAS COOKE: ACTOR, SOLDIER, PHYSICIAN, PRIEST, the story of a brilliant but hot-tempered boy who grows up as an apprentice in Shakespeare’s theater troupe 1593 and to whom Shakespeare is a life-long mentor, is now a Kindle e-book!
First published eighteen years ago by W.W. Norton, it was called “immensely moving” by the CHICAGO TRIBUNE, “compelling reading” by the SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER, and “brilliant, bawdy, and utterly delightful” by MADELEINE L’ENGLE. The NEW YORK TIMES wrote, “Cowell has poured heart and a great deal of intelligence into her first novel about an impetuous, inquisitive young man in an impetuous, inquisitive age.”

Greetings everyone and thanks, Rick, for inviting me to join the group. I'm an English author with a penchant for a good mystery, either in fictional or factual form. I've been writing magazine articles on historical and supernatural themes for the last fifteen years, so when I decided to turn my hand to writing a novel it seemed only sensible to continue in the same vein. And no, that's not a subtle hint that it contains vampires. Or zombies, for that matter. Here's the blurb for those members who might be interested.
WOODLIFE is a fast-paced chiller set deep in the English countryside. When an old flame goes missing in mysterious circumstances, ex-footballer Nick Wheaton forms an unlikely alliance with self-styled ‘private facilitator’ Valerie Bain to investigate her disappearance. Their pursuit leads them to Edbury, a small town nestled at the feet of an ancient and enigmatic hill figure. Edbury appears to be the focal point for sinister forces whose tentacles reach far beyond the sleepy country backwater, and they soon find themselves entangled in a murderous conspiracy of monumental proportions. When death suddenly appears to become an irrelevance, will Britain’s future be overtaken by her dim and distant past?
I'm also in the process of writing a series of short guides under the umbrella title, MYSTERY ISLAND, featuring Britain's historical and supernatural heritage. The first instalment, GHOSTS, is, like WOODLIFE, now available on Amazon in ebook form. Anyone who'd like to read a bit more about me or my work can do so at my website: http://richardmvickers.weebly.com
Again, many thanks for inviting me to join the group and I look forward to the opportunity of joining in future discussions.
Glad to have found this group! I have been on a mission for several years to help new authors avoid getting scammed. You can read about my company's publishing division at www.aflairforwriting.com. My book, "No-Hassle Publishing: An Author's Guide to Today's Changing Industry" has helped many new authors learn the basics about publishing and what to avoid.

Hello Everyone,I am honored to be here and to be a part of your group. I am an author who writes mostly Historical Fiction. However, I do branch out on occasion when the mood strikes :)
I guess it is quite common for those of us who write to love to read, and I am no exception. When I was a child books pulled me through some pretty rough times at home, and so they have remained my good friends through out my life. Please feel free to contact me about any of my books/ stories or whatever you might like to talk about. I am always open to suggestions and I would love to hear from someone who just wants to say hello. I want to thank Rick again for inviting me to join this group.I've taken a moment to look at the members and I must say that you are all an impressive lot and I am glad to have the opportunity to know you better.
I send you all good wishes and many blessings, Roberta Kagan

Hi guys!! I want to thank James for the invitation & I look forward to interacting with you all! :) My name is Krista Ashe, and I'm both a Literary Fiction and Young Adult writer. I'm writing under the pen name, Lily Raye, at the moment because I'm currently represented by Leigh Feldman at Writer's House for my other YA novels. I have the Southern Lit fic, The Road to Damascus, under Krista Raye, and then my YAUF, which was an almost but no cigar with traditional publishers, under Lily Raye!
I look forward to talking to you guys about books and reading some of your books. I enjoy a wide genre of books. If you look on my real Goodreads under Krista Ashe, you'll see that I read everything from Romance to Non-Fiction to YA to Mysteries.
So once again, thanks for having me here!!
