The only formats for which book-in-hand does not trump publisher/Amazon/etc. data are ebooks. User settings, precise model of ereader, and other variables can mean that the same book on your ereader and mine have different page counts. Therefore, for ebooks (including Kindle editions), the page number should come from the publisher. Since the Amazon listing no longer exists, there is no reliable source for the number of pages of this book. Edit: In fact, even when the page existed, in had no page number: http://web.archive.org/web/2012022416...

I read that topic, but neither of them have ISBN/ASIN and for first one just the edition exist.

I updated the book in message 5 since there was no previous page count listed. I have no way to verify if the information is correct.

As for the book in message 6, WorldCat and Amazon matches the current page count listed at 173. Do you have the book? What comes after page 173, if anything?

I read both of them, but I haven't.
The first one isn't renowned book, so I could only refer to persian online bookshop. Google translator or I could help out;)

Thanks for your information. However all mentioned books are paperback, a bit of diversity are common. Even for I know different page counts by one publisher in different years.

9646070213, published in 2008, 339 pages.
But I can't find 2011 edition ISBN with 336 page numbers.
In my country ISBN called "شابک",and I understand relation between them now:D all Books are found by name and publisher and ISBN isn't used in general.

According to my knowledge, that ebook ISBN is wrong. Both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 refer to paperback and ebook publisher copy ISBN-13 of paperback to show that edition became pdf.
I check on other ISBN that fidibo(ebook publisher) used, all of them are paperback ISBN, not ebook.
