Incorrect publishing date?

I just noticed that Goodreads has the wrong publishing date for The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon. The GR book page says: "first published December 1st 1924". My book says it was published in 1997. Would you please check on this?

There was one edition with 1924, which is obviously incorrect as the author would only have been 7 years old when he wrote this book. Removed from that edition. Added 1997 as the original date, as it was before.
Worldcat does have 1993 for one edition, although that isbn links to a different book from another author here on Goodreads.
