Whose story did you enjoy the most? Was there any character you wanted more insight into?

I really enjoyed Marie's story the most. I would've like to have read more about Jutta.

Marie's story was the most intriguing to me. I think I would have liked to have read more about her father's side of the story, particularly once he was captured by the Germans.

I actually really loved Werner's story. His development and struggle with morality at a time and place where it was difficult to know what was right and wrong as a child, was interesting. I wanted to hear more from Jutta also. Her story kind of came all at once at the end of the war and the book.
