Finished... I am glad I read this book. I don't know how much of a different it makes that I did not read the 2nd and 3rd book first but I didn't feel lost throughout this story, (view spoiler)[ Eadlyn has so much to still decided as well as learn, she sounds like she has a heart made out of walls, I don't want anything bad to happen to her parents, I am happy for her twin, everyone deserves happiness in their lives. Chapter 11(view spoiler)[ I'm really enjoying this book. It feels like something is missing though I can put my fingers on it. I love how we get to see more of the politics of the country so far in it. I think maybe it's probably the main character I'm still wanting America. Its weird reading about America though she seemed to mature a lot. I'm excited to finish it still. I just was hoping for something more. Done(view spoiler)[ I composed myself a little bit after the ending of the book. This was a fantastic read it turned out better than I thought it was. I did see character development. The ending is still tearing me apart dramtically. It feels kinda awkward with a guy selection instead of the other way around which is really interesting. You know America has changed when she says Crystal turned out lovely. I hope America is okay because just no. You can't do this to me. Off to right the review (hide spoiler)]

I don't see anything wrong with Kile, and she pretty much slapped Hale across the face by bragging about her dad. His dad being a Two wasn't really relevant but she said she wanted to be mature so was what she said REALLY that mature? I hope her attitude improves because otherwise this will be a drag. Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[ It's interesting seeing the Selection process from the other side. Eadlyn has started to get less annoying, thankfully. I'm finding Josie to be a bit ridiculous, but I'm still finding Kile great. It seems that Eadlyn has some favourites already. I wonder who the final 3 will end up being, if there does end up being a final 3 (if I remember correctly the final 3 were just people whose caste got boosted so maybe not). That thing about Kile wandering onto the Report as a baby was adorable, haha. (hide spoiler)]

I was wondering your opinions on this. How do you guys pronounce Eadlyn? Personally I've been saying EE-DA-LIN but I wanted to know how you guys have been saying it.

I think the way you say it is correct. I've never really thought about it until now, but they way you pronounce it seems best.

Chapter 24: (view spoiler)[ I think it would be quite awkward if Eadlyn ended up falling for Erik. To me it feels like what makes her happy is simple kindness, something she hasn't really experienced with boys before. I'm thinking that her happiness when that happens isn't really her getting feelings for them necessarily, but more of a thankfulness for their kindness. Of course their kindness will probably end with something more, though. (hide spoiler)]

Although I didn't like Eadlyn all that much I was still drawn to read it and when I had to go to sleep I still didn't want to put it down. It might just be something about Cass's simple yet elegant writing that has me coming back for more even though the protagonist wasn't that great. I'm surprised that Eadlyn is letting those boys make requests though, I don't remember the girls telling Maxon certain things were unfair and getting him to agree to things in the first 3 books in the series. (view spoiler)[I loved this book and just got sucked right back into this world. I couldn't put it done at all and just read it super fast. I didn't really like Eadlyn in the beginning because I don't think she understood how sometimes her words hurt people or how everything revolved around her. I think over the course of the book she changed though, and became a better person. I also absolutely hated the ending because it was basically a cliffhanger leaving us to wonder if everyone is okay. What boys are you guys rooting for? I'm rooting for Erik and Kile, but I also sort of like Hale and Fox and Ean made that interesting deal.
