The book call "A Child Called "it" by Dave Pelzer captured my attention by the way he would describe how a young child was all dressed up in old clothing with no one to attend him and the other part was it was based on a true story and the author whom wrote this book was that child called "it". I believe this book is really touching it's very sad aswell how you read on what this young man when through as a child having to play his mother's harassh "games"his mother was an alcoholic and his father was manipulate by the mother he had no say in what would go on in the house. Dave is affraid to tell anyone what goes on at his house because of his mother and what she does to him. as time starts to pass by people around him start to notice something is wrong with him they question him for the marks left on his skin due to the "games" his mother plays with him . he's his mother's slave he's her maid he's only 6 years old and he has 3 other siblings who live with him but aren't treated like he's treated. he isn't living in a safe place he's forced to drink toxics and is beat all the time for no reason, no one's around to help him out, his mother doesn't provide clean clothing for him he wears the same for weeks and weeks. he has no bath time at all he's abused by his own alcoholic mother whom has no heart his father can't do much but not be home to make the mom mad, there comes the time he decideds to say the truth and put him into foster care so he ends with the suffer at a place called "home".

I read this book years ago, and the tragedies depicted were permanently etched in my mind.
