Ch 9 (25%) - (view spoiler)[ And now the Raven Boys will have a raven. -- I do like the dynamic between the boys. Gansey is the leader and also the glue that is holding them together. I really hope he doesn't actually die. Ronan is the unstable one - ironic that he will now be the gentle giant that takes care of a baby bird. Then there's Adam, who just seems happy to be part of the group, and the most likable of the bunch. We don't know a lot about Noah yet. I expect we will get to know him soon, and Blue will intersect with them too. (hide spoiler)]

So did Neeve disappear at a very opportune time, just because Maura and Penelope moved a mirror back at the house? Just what was she thinking pairing up with Whelk - what was her motivation?? and why did she want to find Blue's father in the first place. I hope it doesn't come out later that she's Blue's mom and it was a teenage pregnancy thing later.

I'm going to jump for predictions and such for the Raven Kind because since I read the first 3 back to back and so quickly I don't really have many formulated thoughts besides I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND IS ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE SERIES!

I chose the raven boys as a promt for lgbtq+ rep because it was on a list and so far only Ronan has not denied he "swings the other way" and I'm pretty sure Kavinsky admitted he was bi? though I'm not 100% sure. I honesly thought Adam was gay or bi when we first met him because I thought there was gonna be lgbtq+ rep in here (I thinik it's gonna happen in this one though, fingers crossed) so my prediction it adam IS bi and he and Ronan (or possibly noah? but he is dead so could that work? idk..) So I am going to predicted Adam and Ronan and both bi/gay or at least one of them is and they get a romance. Blue and Gansey are going to end up together and Gansey won't die because I will not be able to handle it if he does so that's just not gonna happen. That's as far as I've gotten with my thoughts. (Oh, I really want them to talk about Noah and Blue's kiss. like not in a romantic way or anything but I just want someone to mention it...) I think that's all i'm going to ramble and babble about. I'm also a little confused as to why Kavinsky seems to be so important in this book. I love that Gansey is starting to notice Blue. It was subtle at first, but now the author is really pointing it out. These stories where we know what is going to happen ahead of time, just not how they will come about, always hook me deeply. Now I got it, but I wonder why Maura disappeared and if she could possibly be in the same place that Blue's father disappeared to. It would make for an interesting love triangle with Mr. Grey.

Ok, so I love this series and I love some of the developments that happened in this book. Yet...it wasn't what I was expecting. It's funny, they've actually made some progress in finding the Welsh King, but I expected to have some answers by now about the other stuff. We really aren't any closer to understanding how/when Gansey is going to die and who plays what role in the death. If anything, I'm even more confused now that Adam's visions are showing a dead Ronan instead of Gansey. (hide spoiler)] I'm still very much hooked and want to read the next one.

I kept having to look at how many more pages were left because I was worried that it was going to be one of those books that did end that way.

I loved everything about this series. It was so weird and brilliant and never followed the exact path I thought it would. I love how the characters changed and adapted and changed again. I love how Adam and Ronan found each other. I love how Blue and Gansey were able to have a relationship with one another before the shit really hit the fan. And I love that Ronan is left at the end, dreaming about how to make Cabeswater better.....for next time. I loved it! (hide spoiler)]
