I was surprised by how fast I got this considering I had to request them to order this book and they usually take a long time.
I got mine! Yay! It arrived yesterday!! YES! I was so worried I wouldn't get it in time.I'm going to check now when/if book 3 plans to be out in English (I'll order it if it's soon....). I love this series, I'm so glad they are getting us the books :)
Yay! I am glad that they are releasing these in English too. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait for the third book.

That's okay. I am hoping to get to this today, but I have a big stack of library books that all came in at the same time that I need to get through. I need to see which ones I can renew and work on the ones I can't first.
That's my issue too. It's a juggling act, right? Lol
I'm sorry for not posting updates as I read through this one guys. I had a hard time with this one and had to at times force myself to pick this one up. I was looking forward to this one and was disappointed I did not like it more. I hope you guys like it better.

Italics - yikes, the italic chapters are way creepy
Makes me think of a cult. The moment at the scary house seems to confirm it - her sister seems brainwashed and held there right?
I wonder if we're being made to misunderstand...
Lumikki- I still really like her. I worry about her putting herself out there to help her sister but I mean....who could walk away, right?
SATURDAY- June 18th early morningLumikki's bullying sound like it was awful. I don't remember it much from book 1 - is thus info new??

I love their relationship and am so sad it deteriorated - but if Blaze wasn't ready, then he wasn't. Poor Lumikki, her heartbreak sounds awful :(

No, I got rather distracted today due to a friend's daughter missing. The police do believe she's been abducted. 14 years old, 8th grader, nice girl. :( Hubby & I plan to stay in today so I'm JUST about to start shortly.
that is so scary. I pray they find her soon :(
Saturday June 16First, I'm glad the author reviewed a little of the basics from book 1.
Shirley Manson sounds depressed! Why was the book started with her if she wasn't an important part? I'm wondering just who she is.
Lenka has quite a story! Amazing to see a pic of your sister when she was 8 and yet recognize her immediately some 9-10 years later. Hmmm...not to sure I buy it. But definitely it would be crazy to find al that out just Ike that! Lumikki's is suspicious too, as she should be.
And the italicized chapters ARE freaky!

I just finished that short little chapter about the journalist named Jiri. (another singer?) lol Wonder what his big story is?
FRIDAY, June 17Oh my gosh!! What the heck! Lenka & Lumikki get chased and Lenka stops at the church?
Looking at the italicized pages and looking at the clothing her family (?) wears, the do sound like a cult. The way the woman responded to Lenka having someone with her was way off base! But worse is Lenka's response. She's obviously oppressed!
Lumikki said Lenka "stank of fear" and that is also telling! I wonder what her punishment will be for whatever she did that was so "wrong." And Lumikki had such a response when Lenka said "good people" that it must be foreshadowing how evil they are. Plus Lumikki use the word "worship" when talking about the people who "saved" Lenka, so a cult mentality is definitely a strong possibility. I'm afraid Lenka is in a mess!
Oh, one more thing is how Lumikki said the house was so uninviting and the "black iron fence...tall and threatening...The sharp spikes sent a clear message: Don't even try getting over."Yep! Trouble!!
I thought the same thing about Lenka. I was skeptical of her story.
It's fun trying to figure things out when reading.

and Then there's this Mother/Father group
they are both feeding Jiri info (right? that's who gave him the tip on who to meet and where or his boss maybe?) and also they are the ones that chose to kill Jaro and just sent the same hit man after Lumikki....
I wonder what stake in this they have.....
Lenka's in more danger than we thought originally....

so...we know who father is
and wow! he's a very very bad person
but wasn't there a 'mother' at some point - aren't we still missing someone? or am I remembering wrong?
but I remember Father saying he relayed through a woman. I think she's 'mother' I've thought and thought and can't figure out who she is
but wow! why father does it - to get them to mass suicide and then run away with all their money and possessions.
and LOL I love how Lumikki keeps getting away from this hit guy. he must be SO frustrated!
