I agree about the bullying. Is this what led her to being so adept at taking care of/defending herself?

I don't recall Blaze either from book 1, but he had a few names so perhaps he was mentioned as Lauri or whoever and now more info is coming out. You can tell he cares for Lumikki, and she loved him for who he was. So why couldn't they be together? Why did he give her up?

Just started June 18 and Jiri is doing his research on cults. That's the tie-in I assumed, but I wasn't 100% sure. I knew (still finding out lol) it had to do with Lenka's "family."

Wow! That was intense! It's a good thing Lumikki is quick on her feet. I can't believe they've hired a hit man! They mean serious business!! Just what is it that they don't want the world to find out? Who are Mother and Father? How will Lenka get out safely? Oh my? Lots coming up, I'm sure.

OMG!!! This is worse than I thought! Adam is worse than I'd imagined!! It makes me SICK when people use "God's word" and twist things and somehow get people to believe such idiocy!! I mean wow!!

I can't believe that ANYONE in their right mind would still trust "Father" after he uses restraints and throws them in a cell for not confessing their sins. Lenka needs to open her eyes.

In the one short italicized chapter it makes it obvious that Lenka's mother was pushed over into the river and so she was murdered. I guess anyone Adam feels threatened by is a goner!

There was a Mother mentioned, but who she is I don't know. Could she have been Lenka's mom? I don't know if that makes any sense because she's been dead a few years. There's been no mention of any woman yet except the one who came out and grabbed Lenka when she first brought Lumikki there. Hmmmm

Finished and loved it too! I thought for a minute that Jiri was involved but glad he wasn't. I couldn't believe the way the fire was set up! I'm glad Jiri & Lumikki saved so many people.

So was Vera "Mother"?

I think in book 3 Lumikki will find her sister. Do you think Adam will resurrect in book 3 or do we have to just assume he's out there creating another cult?

I think Adam won't show back up. I think he's just out there laying low and causing havoc.

I really hope Lumikki finds out about a long lost sister...but it sounds like this next book is going to be a lot about boy drama - but I think the author will keep it interesting.

I know, I was really glad Jiri wasn't involved either. so awful that Vera was pretty much sacrificing him too! I don't think he would have made it out alive (from the basement) after they started the fire. :(
