It's been a long time since I've read a book dealing with Angels

Lol same here! Though I get the feeling that this book deals with angels differently compared to normal?

That's what I'm getting so far. Like angels gone bad. Whenever I read a story about an angel going bad, it's always like a race against the clock to stop whatever impending doom that is about to occur. It's nice to see a story where it's already happened and this dystopia has been created

Lol nice, I could do with some angels gone bad. I heard it was a dystopia, but my eyes were more drawn to the part on the cover that said 'internet sensation' or was it 'online sensation' lol, I thought that was fascinating for some reason!

Yeah apparently this book just blew up in 2011. It was just a little ebook on Amazon pub and now it's everywhere. I've owned it since 2011 and it's just always sat in my ebook collection

Oh wow. Thats kind of an amazing story. But I guess it's a good thing, because I've heard good things about the sequels too.

Really enjoying this atm -- falls right into the category of 'something different' for a change in all the stuff I've been reading lately that has mostly sort of felt a little dissatisfying (I definitely spelt that wrong lol) -if I didn't feel so tired I'd stay up and finish it off!

We read this really fast lol. We should tack on books 2 and 3 to our buddy read sometime.

I'm thinking I might get my copy of book 2 around the end of may/beginning of june. Maybe we can make that a summer read (summer for me)?

Lollll sure! I could definitely get my hands on a copy by then ^^ -- I shall edit the title of this thread to include all the books (book 3 for whenever it comes out?).

Book 3 comes out in the beginning of may I'm pretty sure, so real soon. I figure a little over a month could be enough time for us to acquire copies. And sounds good! Angelfall was a quick read, so we might just fly through the other two depending on their size

Ah sweet ^^ I really am heaps glad we're reading this now right around when Book 3 comes out, makes waiting a whole lot less tiresome/painful/damn it hurry up and come out!

It makes me a little glad I read To All The Boys I Loved Before now too, since it's coming out soon ^^

I've been so bad about reading this this week! But I'm at the part where Raffe and Penryn go to the Pit! So weird to see Beliel like that!

O.O it is!!!! but you've just hit my favourite part in the whole book (well I like all parts of the book, but the pit is one of my favourites!!!)

Can't spoil it >.< but I feel sorry for Beliel!!!

Mhmm I totally felt for Beliel then, because it makes sense why he is the way he is now.

I think its hard to think anyone is perfect in this post apocalyptic story. Everyone has done something bad, some just more bad than others. Beliel just kinda lost his way. I'm also anticipating a return of Penryn's father

I like that. I think Susan Ee did a good job in portraying multiple sides of each player in the story. I'm glad Ee did what she did with Beliel, because without it, for Beliel, he mightn't have seemed like a well rounded character imo. Sometimes I wondered if he was anything more than just a villain character, like in some books, but no, he had a story too ^^
