Help Needed Connecting Goodreads Author Profile to My KDP Account

I have an existing Goodreads author profile that isn’t connected to the KDP account I used to publish my book. Because of this, I can’t set up a giveaway, as Goodreads requires the author profile to be linked to the correct KDP account.

Could someone guide me on how to connect my current Goodreads author profile with my KDP account?

If this isn’t possible, would deleting the current Goodreads account help? And in that case, how can I reclaim my book under a new account?
Alternatively, is it possible to change the email associated with my existing author profile so it can be linked to the correct KDP account?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Neal

We are volunteers - giveaways & anything to do with Amazon are nothing to do with us.

I'd be surprised if getting rid of your current Gr Author account did anything but cause confusion, but this is just my opinion.

You need to talk to Support (Staff) at Goodreads & they can advise you if you also need to contact Amazon.

Join the Goodreads
Author Program. For steps, see How do I join the Author Program?
Link your Goodreads and Amazon account. If you are listing a Kindle ebook, make sure you link the Amazon account you use to sign into Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).

Well now you are writing from a non-author account, so you'll have to log in as your author account to set up the giveaway. There's nothing more we can help you with unless your books need edits made.
