Basically we'll be counting pages rather than books, and then converting to points. so where as usually you'd get 1 point for a book that was 20..."
Ah, thanks! I'll join for fun :)
I'll be sending out another group message soon, to try and make sure that everyone who wants to sign-up has, and then we'll think about picking teams ☺

Do poetry books count for the challenge? The Complete Works of Emily Dickinson has been on my to read list forever. :)"
I'll discuss it with Abbie, we usually allow poetry books, but I know this one has a low word count compared to it's page count, so I'm not sure.

The issue with this book is that it has pictures in it, and the poems obviously fill more pages than the number of words would suggest, and there's also random lists of poems that you probably wouldn't read as such.
anyway, the first book of poems has a word count of like 7,374 words, which is about 29 regular pages, (the kindle edition of this 145 pages) - so you can see the difference. I think we could give you 50 pages for each of the series of poems, and i think the letters are around 400 pages long on their own, so the book would probably be worth around 550 pages rather than the 2700 pages it's listed as. Does that make sense?

There are about 40 pages of writing in that one, so I can give you 40 pages ☺ Does that sound alright?
