Goodreads is eliminating private messages

Another in a long list of the constant downgrades to the user experience.

Goodreads is no longer allowing private messages. I suppose we can tag each other here if we have something to say. I won't be surprised if they take away our ability to invite friends to vote on lists or comment on other people's lists next.

I heard about some women who aren't "allowed " to communicate with friends or some family use this messaging because it's mostly not known about by non-users.
