Yes im really enjoying it! I saw the movie version years ago and thought the vampire lore was interesting but didnt like the movie much but this is sooo much better

Yeah the movie is terrible. No idea why my celebrity bf (Josh Hutcherson) would sign on to such a terrible movie. I wish you hadn't watched that movie, tbh, because now you have their descriptions stuck in your head. I did agree with Crepsley though.

Yeah Rebecca the monkey girl, but she isn't in the books. That's why I love the books, because the movie just felt the need to put in romance, as they do, but the book kept it real. I love the lack of romance.

So you've read #4 now? I'll listen to that audiobook on the way back to my parents today :) And then on the way home on Sunday I'll listen to #5 assuming you read that one too.

Yes i am half way through four now!

I hope they continue without Romance. Love triangles drive me crazy. I want Darren to grow as a character without using a girlfriend as a crutch

My favourite of the series XD I have no idea what it is, but I just love challenges (physical and mental) in books, and obstacles like that. Just so gripping! The death sounds terrible as well, being dropped on those stakes inside the cage. How gruesome! (hide spoiler)]

Review: As I listened to this book, it all came back to me :D I love how this is the book where he (view spoiler)[first visits Vampire Mountain, and when he meets Rudi, and he discovers Harkat Moulds :D (hide spoiler)] I also love learning about the (view spoiler)[heirarchy of Vampire Mountain. (hide spoiler)] I'm so interested in how everyone just listens to (view spoiler)[Mr Tiny. He must be so intimidating. (hide spoiler)] Also reminded me of how much of a shitfest the movie was. They most definitely should not have made the movie. It gave such a bad report around these incredible books. As soon as I started watching the movie, I cringed and grimaced. Such bad publicity for Josh Hutcherson. But yes so keen to get back into this series (even though I'm technically starting in the middle, I don't mind because I'm so familiar).

I work in customer service at a zoo. Most of it is answering phones and data entry. Since it is winter here there isnt much going on so I have lots of time to read :)

I just finished 7 but im at work so i cant update my thoughts til i get home tonight.

Review of 5: Yay loved re-reading this one :D It's my favourite of the series. Loved the reappearance of (view spoiler)[the wolves (hide spoiler)], and the betrayal by (view spoiler)[Kurda (hide spoiler)] was rather intense! I didn't remember that one. But the descriptions of the (view spoiler)[trials (hide spoiler)] would have freaked me out! My paranoia and my imagination would have made me crazy. Darren's so brave.
