It was really unnecessary. I thought this one had the weakest plot of all the books so far and really felt like a filler book.

Over all it felt like they needed a way to add in some new characters while bringing some old ones back in.

It could have been done a lot better I agree. I find it odd how some books are so packed full of action and others just plod along. They could easily be combined.

I feel the same way, most of the book should've been combined, but Allies of night was the worst about it end just and felt really incomplete, it didn't tell a whole story!

Melany I'm way behind on my comments I have read all the books but as I moved house I'm still waiting on my internet to be hooked up. If its ok I will just comment as you read them as I can't remember the chapter numbers. :( The only time i get to comment is when I get a chance to log on at work. I hope they don't take much longer to put it on as I have so many reviews to do it will take forever to catch up.

I mean in about 90 pages Darren has been on the brink of death several times, makes in back to Vampire Mountain, and basically gets Kurda convicted of treason. I like that the pace is snappy but I also wish there were details. And I really felt bad for Magda. :( (hide spoiler)]

There were other vampires there that had and that's kind of insulting to them. But I think they all got why he became a prince. I just think they could have come up with a loophole. (hide spoiler)]

Welcome Ashley :) I agree some books move so fast that they could easily have been elaborated on but I think he was concentrating on the attention span of the age he was writing for.
