What a disappointment. I have read 2 other books by Michaelides; I really liked The Silent Patient, and enjoyed The Maidens, but this is a stinker. None of our book club ladies liked it. The narrator isn't likeable. It's disjointed with plenty of f-bombs. It's the convoluted story of a group of "friends" (using the term loosely). While it's true that the victim of the murder was a surprise after a long buildup, the suspense wasn't interesting or enjoyable. Skip it.
