Alright so here is the competition! I needed a way to get people to participate and to support the authors and I think I came up with an awesome way! People will get points for participating in this group and for supporting the awesome new authors. The person that has the most points at the end will get a free copy (e-book or real) of each book that had been a book that we read as a group.
Authors please note that this means this must be a condition to entering into the contest now! You must be able to give us on free copy of your book. I do not think this is much to ask. As a bigger incentive you could even sign a copy (hint... hint..) but you do not have to.
Also, the amount of points you have at the end of each book contest is the amount of votes you can give to the book you want to read next! This gives older members an advantage and is a way for us to say thank you for supporting this group.
How to earn points:
1. Every general comment you write in any topic = 1 point
2. Voting for an authors book every other month = 2 points
3. If you share the book we are currently reading on Facebook and can prove it = 5 points
4. If you share the book we are currently reading on Twitter and you can prove it = 5 points
5. Putting on Goodreads that you are reading the book we are currently reading and engaging in the book discussion at least once = 10 points
6. Getting another person to join the group = 5 points
