James Fritz | 7 comments For me, Moby-Dick is the big one (no pun intended). I powered through out of sheer determination, but honestly…I regretted finishing it the second I closed the book. Dense, meandering, and way too much whale-encyclopedia for my taste.

Same James, same. I honestly don't understand the admiration for this book.

For me it was Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Another book which I keep waiting and hoping would get interesting and it just didn't.

Jessica Williams | 2 comments The Bell Jar This book interested me because it was mentioned on Gilmore Girls. After reading, I get the reference. It left me feeling depressed and unsettled. I can understand why some might identify with and embrace the main character's point of view. I'm proud to have made the effort by finishing it. Apparantly, it's a classic. But, I won't be reading it again.

Cee Pinto (ceegpinto) | 114 comments The Family Inside by Katie Garner. It's a mystery/ psychological thriller. I finished it only because I didn't want to DNF it. I pretty much guessed what was going to happen really early in the book, so it stopped being a mystery and it became boring.

Almudena entre libros | 4 comments Pues con el que estoy actualmente, Minnesota, de Jo Nesbo. Voy por la 142 y sigo sin engancharme

Heidi Richardson (hmrichardson) | 14 comments I was disappointed in The Brothers Karamazov even though it came highly recommended by someone I admire. It rambled and meandered so much more than Dostoevsky's other books, but a few scattered gems kept me reading until I finished.
