I was trying to upload a book to Goodreads, but I was unsure about the cover image. I couldn’t find any official source for it on the publisher’s or author’s website, or anywhere else. However, I do have an image (or rather a scanned version) that I created myself using my phone. I read in the guidelines this paragraph «An individual user's scans or photos, taken of books they own or have in their possession, are also acceptable sources for cover images, as are screen captures of ebook editions.», and I wanted to know how I can upload this image. Is it allowed to upload the cover to my personal photos on Goodreads and include its link in the file that I will submit to the Goodreads Librarians group?

Martin | 37566 comments Yes, you could upload the image to your profile pictures. Please also provide an image of the page with publication details such as date and ISBN so we can confirm the correct edition. Please also link to the relevant edition on Goodreads
