Looking for a book from the POV of a Christmas tree!

About 10 years ago my mom and I read a book from the point of view of a Christmas tree inside a home. I believe it was set during the Victorian era as there was a scene in which the tree describes a wake in the home. I also remember that at the end the tree is left outside and dies.

I’ve been trying to look for this book for so long but have had a no luck. It’s not Anderson’s “The fir tree” or Dicken’s “A Christmas tree”.
