T.B. Johnson (productionblues) | 13 comments This seems like one of the worst times in history to be a new author. Review Group is like the one group on Goodreads that doesn't allow AI-generated stuff (and even here, stuff seems to slip through the cracks). I haven't found any groups like this on Facebook: those are all overwhelmed with slop. Luckily, they're easy enough to identify because they all paint everything with these ridiculous, obviously AI-generated images. Not to mention tools like gptzero.me exist. But there's no way to filter them, and real writers are getting lost in the deluge.

What do we do? >_<

I, for one, am just going to continue working on getting an audiobook together. And yes, I'll use a real narrator.

P. Pherson | 40 comments What else can you do? just maintain your own personal integrity.

I agree. I am not happy AI popped up just as I was starting to put stuff out, but...

P. Pherson | 40 comments On the authors website that I participate in, I am actually very disappointed at the number of people who are excited that AI is here to do their writing for them. By policy, I dont help anyone who I know is using AI, but...My list is getting quite long.

AI makes artists not matter. I would avoid it like the plague.

In the end, its just up to me. I want to say, no AI content, and mean it.
