Hi Sarah

I found your request.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

We would count the introduction. Can you tell me how many total pages there are with the introduction? Please don't include advertising material or blank pages at the end. :)

message 2: by Sarah (new)

Sarah B | 47 comments The total pages would then be 518?

Table of contents: 2 pages
Introduction: 13 pages
A Curtain of Green: 289 pages
The Wide Net: 214 pages

There are no ads in the book.

Sarah B | 47 comments And what "goofs it up" is most people just flip to the last page of the book and see that "214" so they think the whole book is 214 pages but they don't realize that the first half uses a totally different page count. Because they are copying the page count I think from the two novels.

Sarah B | 47 comments And THANK YOU for agreeing to do this. 😃

No problem. Are there any blank pages between the two books? Because we would count them as well.

Sarah B | 47 comments Oh I see you are getting to understand autism.

There is 1 blank page that is not included in any page count between the two books .

There is also a blank page between the Introduction and the first book, "A curtain of green".

So a total of 2 blank pages not included in any page count.

Sorry Sarah I can't claim that! There are policies we have to follow - regarding page counts they often very similar to those for real life librarians.

I've added a page count of 520, but in the edition field it has both reprint & first edition. Which is it? This info is an example of some of the misinformation being added by the bots.

Sarah B | 47 comments Well you asked about blank pages so I told you.

And I have no idea if it's a reprint or a first edition.
I will take a picture of the copyright page.
And then you can decide. I don't know about such things.

Thanks Sarah.

I'll update your book count later - we are on a Wats App call with our son atm. :)

Sarah B | 47 comments You have to remember that I am autistic. So I don't understand why you ask me about blank pages and then get mad at me when I tell you about the blank pages. It makes no logical sense to me.

I am trying to be active in the group. Hopefully the pictures will show up here:

Sarah B | 47 comments If you don't like blank pages than don't count them as there is nothing to read on them anyway. How can you read something that is blank???

Hi Sarah, I just want to assure you that neither Carol nor I will ever get mad at you or yell at you. Sometimes it is easy to misinterpret meaning and tone on the internet, I've done it often enough myself. I promise no one is mad at you or yelling.
